Well, guess who's going to be a mermaid for Halloween?  I just pass out candy anyway, so I don't have to worry about walking.  I can slipknot my legs together.  I thought about being a creepy mermaid, like the ones I've been drawing, but since there's a lot of little kids in the neighborhood, I'll be nice and be a pretty one instead. I've already got my aquamarine long fins and scale print leggings.  Next I'll get or make a mask with a blue veil, and some scale arm sleeves.  The mask and veil I can use for spiritual things, too, should I ever feel inspired to honor some Water Entities (which with my connection to water, I'm surprised that I haven't written a ritual for Them yet!). I have non-candy options like pencils, fun erasers, stickers, and little toys, and I'm going to do that again, only this year I'm giving away some of the crocheted pouches and toys that never sold--crows, spiders, foxes, ghosties, and pumpkins.  I may make more, to...

A visual transition from Shadow Work to Light Work. --------- I finished my Hearth Throw that was originally going to be my Winter Solstice Healing Blanket...until I got sick and thought it was a good idea to crochet... ...thus royally messing it up.  But its still a blanket.  I'm going to redo the Winter Solstice Healing Blanket later. Since I finished one of the three High Day throw/blankets I was working on, I started on the Midspring Bouquet Throw/Blanket.  50-70 inches is a throw.  Anything bigger is a blanket, according to the interwebs.  Guess we'll see when I feel done, at the same time, I don't want to have a giant bouquet, you know? 21.5 inches so far...  Apparently my body decided that I needed to rest before jumping into my first week of the Pre-Clergy Program.  I've been so tired this week and today I woke up congested.  Oddly, no energy or focus to read or work on the PCP, but plenty to sporadically clean here and there, and to work on a hearth-inspired throw/blanket. I love crocheting blankets in the winter, so cozy!  Well when it's actually cold; it was 65f yesterday, and today it's 19f but feels like 1f with the crazy winds.  I've been working on a High Day Healing Blanket series since 2023.  Midwinter (Feb1; kids helped with this one) Spring Equinox (IP) Summer Solstice (a friend helped with this one) Fall Equinox (IP) Winter Solstice (IP; using a log cabin square quilt design).     For Midspring (May1), I'm planning on making a bouquet blanket, and I'm learning how to make shapes, so I can make a beehive patchwork throw for Midsummer (Aug1).  I don't have anything planned yet for Midfall (Nov1)--maybe a big ole jack-o-lantern or something?  I still gotta finish a couple of these other ones first. You know, I wasn't even into foxes before 2017.  They were pretty, and I had seen a living one in a field once from the car when I was little, but they just weren't on my radar. Then I got pregnant with my final kid.  Final--hopefully a girl--kid.  A fox spirit started showing up and I was immediately hooked--in love with foxes!  I crocheted a giant stuffed fox for my kids, inspired by the fox from The Little Prince .   Giant Fox Stuffy by Me, 2017 (which we still have--still in one piece!) On the 1st, whilst looking for a tarot deck (that was NOT where it was supposed to be), I found a small pouch of Story Cubes that I had intended on turning into a divination set ten years ago.  Elk and Manannan were totally into the idea.  I crocheted a pouch for the set.  Midway through I realized that it should've been an apple pouch instead of a pumpkin.  BUT personally I'd rather go to an Isle of Pumpkins than Apples in the Afterlife.  Definitely not traditional Manannan, but UPG.  Apples aren't even native to North America.  Pumpkins are though! The pouch is big enough for my shuffling hand and for more Story Cubes, hence why it's a little wonky.  I also designed it a little different than most of my pouches, so it sits flat on its butt.  Maybe if I do an apple, I'll make that one a drawstring?  I could also still make this one into a drawstring, too.  In my family, we celebrate the High Days for three days.  Yesterday we saved a Gray Treefrog from a scorching death, we had Bdubs for dinner, and we caught lightning bugs in the evening.  We have more planned this weekend. A Gray Treefrog I didn't know we had Treefrogs in Ohio This little dude was green with yellow on its legs, and kind of reminded me of the throw that I'm working on. I'm also participating in a Make-a-Long in a fiber artist Facebook Group by Devin Hunter and Arin Murphy-Hiscock called  Fiber Spirit .  The MAL is focusing on Manifest, thus whatever we're making has to manifest something.  It started yesterday and ends on August 1st. I got some yarn from a friend a couple of weeks ago and it had 6 crocheted patches in it.  So I made more, with the intention of having Sunna bless it on the Summer Solstice with the overflowing positive energies of joy, good health, and abundance.  Each piece was made with those intentions.  Yes...

 TW/CW: My LGBTQ+ Pride Story This is a Pansexual Pride Blanket that I started on July 28, 2019 and finished on March 10, 2023. It wasn't supposed to take me that long. I flew through the pink, but when I got to the yellow, I slowed down significantly, because it's just one solid block of color and it bored my ADHD. Because of that, the yellow is only 2 skeins. Overall, the blanket is made from 9-10 skeins of yarn, and is approx. 80x40 inches. It's not straight (HA!) by any means, and it tapers, but it's a favorite blanket around the house, one that I specifically pull out of storage for the month of June. I'm not sure if it is finished. Originally I wanted to put a Bisexual Flag border around it, but I wasn't able to afford the yarns for that part at the time. I still may make a bi pride flag blanket. I've been getting ready for a ritual that I'm hosting on Sunday called Honeysweet! Honeysweet is a month long celebration of the sweetness in our lives. Our joys, laughs, loves, gratitude, and even goals. Sweetnesses, like Bee's honey, that are to help nourish us through the darkness of winter...or anytime you find yourself in darkness. In years past, I've had attendees write their joys, and even griefs, on paper, and fold this paper into origami bees. Paper bees to be burned or unfolded when need be. This year I'm doing something a little different. Honeysweet Hives. This year, I finished crocheting myself a Honeysweet Hive, and I plan on making attendees boxes. Basically it's a Gratitude Jar . This can be a joyous time of the year...but also a heavy one, too. So reach into your Hives and pull out a photo, a note, an origami bee--something to help brighten your day. I've been sick this month and haven't had the energy for readings, however I have been working!  I've finally launched my Etsy Shop !  It definitely needs a make over, and I am working on making it look better.  I'm also working on more items.  Right now, I just have empty pouches, but soon I will be listing pendulums and rune pouches.  The runes I've been making are witch runes and Elder Futhark.  I also have some ideas for my shop. The pendulums that I'm making are using jewelry that inherited from my grandmother 6 years ago.  I don't wear too much jewelry, but I think many pieces will make lovely pendulums.  My grandma had eclectic tastes in jewelry!
