I got a new statue for my birthday, which I’ll be talking more about in an April 14th post. It’s an interesting statue—of Pythia. However the spirit that resides in the statue isn’t a Hellenic High Priestess and Oracle, oh no, it’s Norse Seiðkona spirit. I felt her as soon as I pulled the statue out of the box, and confirmed it later. With Vesta’s permission, I switched statues on my desk. Normally Vesta sits on my desk, decked out in pride bracelets, fidget rings, my first crochet chain, a Kuan Yin pendant, a Mother Mary keychain, a locket with my kids’ picture, and little gifts from my kids. Now Vesta’s sitting on the bookshelf next to my side of the bed. And the other is on my desk, staring with her eerie realistic eyes. I’ve felt those eyes looking and watching.
