Last night, I performed the omen for Virtual Fire Proto-Grove's ritual. It was a tad disjointed, because my cat thought the rune bag (that Loki picked btw) was cat treats.  Then she realized that I had a cup of water and she wanted my water.  When she wasn't in my face, she was zoomie-ing all around me.  Cat chaos.  A lesson from Loki, other than " What? I didn't give you that cat, Freyja did! " was put the cat outside of the room during the ritual.  😆  Two entities came through last night: the Spirit of the Scythe and Manannán mac Lir (whom I call Mac). The Scythe Spirit picked the Elder Futhark runes and Manannán mac Lir picked the Fairy Tale Fortune cards . I am a Deity oathed Priestess. I have and will continue to take courses and classes to be the best Priestess that I can be. I’ve found pagan programs to further my training to serve the spiritual community, one that I’m currently working towards and another that I am saving for. This morning I got up to see a subscriber email from Druid and author John Beckett. In his newsletter he talked about Seo Helrune’s post about Tweens And The Unseen Not Your Typical Tween Drama —about spirits and your kids. It definitely resonated. Psychic abilities run in both sides of my family, but are stronger on my mom’s side. I’ve always been able to see and hear entities. When I was little, my “imaginary friends” were spirits who often took animal forms, as well as Ancestors.   Today was Dayton Pagan Coalition ’s Psychic Fair at Kettering Polen Farm, here in Ohio. Overall, today went really well! I was pleased with the turnout, despite the chilly day, and out of 15 20 minute slots, I had 9 customers. I’m kinda glad that I only had 9, because one of those wiped me! Not completely out, but it was an intense session! It’s not easy holding an angry God back—this deity wasn’t angry with the person, but with their situation and the assholes in it. I regularly practice consensual possession, but for in-person events, I can’t do that, because I’m in a roomful of others, and it ain’t all about me or that entity. So I give entities control over my arms and hands, so They can write, draw, and use the tools. This deity—I’m surprised They didn’t break the pen (which has happened)—tore up my notebook with angry, hard writing. There was one moment when this God was really “pushing” on me with His energy.  In the ADF Member Discord, there’s a discussion about the best and worst connections that people have with the Kindreds. Kindred’s being the Ancestors, Nature Spirits, and Deities/Shining Ones. Naturally, it got me thinking about my own connections. When I was a little witch, before I knew that witches and Pagans were real, I was surrounded by spirits that I could see. Imaginary friends, the adults call them. But I knew they were real. My Unseen Friends….unseen by those without certain abilities. Certain abilities that most kids tend to outgrow. Mine outgrew just a tad. I had to work to reawaken them as an adult. When I was a kid, I remember human and animal spirits, and other creatures and beings that had no names. Crazy energies out there today, eh? After talking to a student of mine, I've also noticed that there's been an increase in spirit activity, too.  I've noticed that spirit activity usually amps up around May 1st and November 1st.  Energies ebb and flow, sometimes those spirit waves rise and fall at other times, too.  Sometimes random, sometimes not.   All March long, I've been seeing and hearing more and more spirits than normal.  They're not spirits that I know.  I think some of them are Nature Spirits, which can be rather nomadic.  I'm not worried about their intentions, because I have layers of protection on my home and a great relationship with my House Spirits and Guardians.  They wouldn't just let anyone into the house.  The Gods might, They like to test me from time to time.
