  Greeting yall!  Today is the first day of the Dark Moon’s three-day phase.  September is an important month for me, a month of observation.  What am I observing?  Why the descent of Dionysus, Ariadne, and Persephone into the Underworld.  Last month, during the grape harvest, Dionysus sacrificed Himself so that we may eat His body and drink His blood.  Thus, He’s made His way back down to the Underworld, and has resumed His role as Psychopomp (guide of the dead). As for Ariadne and Persephone, Their stories are very similar, except that the Minoan Myth Ariadne wasn’t forced to go to the Underworld like the Greek Myth Persephone.  She was a willing Psychopomp.
