On the 15th, my Kindreds nudged me to sign up for a ritual on Feb 17th.  Non-COoR style.  Focusing on Love, Friendship, and Healing--with oneself.   Monday I had a weather-caused migraine.  Tuesday I realized that the ritual was that night, not today.  Actually, writing went really smooth.  I'm glad it was Non-COoR, because I really wanted to focus on Self-Love.  Although my COoR rituals tend to be long, you can do them quickly. For tonight's Virtual Fire Proto-Grove ADF ritual, we focused on Hearth, Winter, and Health. Tonight I performed the Omen and Hulda-Holle, Cailleach, a touch of Loki, and  Óðinn showed up. Eir was also present, but She didn't speak .  They used the European Goddess and Spirits Oracle by Johanna Polle and the Elder Futhark runes.  Today is April 1st, 2025 , as I write. I’m actually about to attend an ADF Virtual Proto-Grove ritual honoring Loki on Zoom. I have a cup of peanuts for offerings, since the local crows around here love peanuts. To be fair, Loki wanted mead, but the closest that I have to that right now is honey and water. I wanted to share a gift that I got from my eldest for my 41st birthday a few days ago. It is the statue of Pythia, a Delphic High Priestess and Oracle, holding a laurel branch and a bowl of spring water. I love it. Her eyes look eerily realistic, too. Or perhaps its just me? I’ve been wanting this statue every since I saw her. For in-person readings, I usually have a little altar set up for Hermes, My Ancestors, Fox Guide, and which ever Goddess wants to come along. A couple of years ago, I got this angel statue from my mom for the holidays. When our relationship took a turn due to her addictions, I ripped the halo off of this angel and put her away. Then I put the angel on my healing altar with no conscious intention, although I think subconsciously praying for my mom. This year, my mom started making improvements to her life and we've both been working to mend our relationship. Today I took the angel off the healing altar, pried off the wings temporarily, looked up historic Norse dresses, and turned it into the Norse Goddess and Valkyrie of Healing, Eir. I do still have the wings, which I'm painting copper. I plan on gluing magnets on the wings and Eir, because sometimes the Valkyries appear winged to me. Yes, this is my Eir statue, goddess of medicine and a representation of healing between my mom and I. Mom, I love you, keep up the good work! Thank you and hail, Eir!
