For tonight's Virtual Fire Proto-Grove ADF ritual, we focused on Hearth, Winter, and Health.
Tonight I performed the Omen and Hulda-Holle, Cailleach, a touch of Loki, and Óðinn showed up. Eir was also present, but She didn't speak. They used the European Goddess and Spirits Oracle by Johanna Polle and the Elder Futhark runes.
As we got into the ritual, I shuffled. Jumper card from Frau Hulda-Mother Holle:
Arianrod - balance, mind your own needs and wants, balance doesn't need to be meticulous, but what feels good.
Cailleach with Her deer in the forefront, Elen of the Ways in the background, Lantern in hand. The rune Hagalaz was the hand built shelter of sticks, twine, and fur. A roaring Kenaz campfire. Little Isaz pounding down. But you are safe and warm and happy. Rested.
Loki: "HI, lol" (Hagalaz +Isa)
Cailleach: "Remember who and what you are. Show me the Völva within–Witch, Energy Worker, Practitioner, Mystic, whatever you call yourselves–you who work the channels of magik, of energy, of faith. You who manifest, manipulate the energy for change in your favor, in the favor of others. This is a time to do magic, remember what you are! Now is a time to be proud of, remember what you can do and change the flow in your favor, in others' favor. Magic favors the bold!"
A small smile with black eyes, with white light reflecting. She continued, "Be the shelter, be the storm. Your power resides within you."
Jumper card: Sol sun goddess, brings clarity. "So many of you are afraid of your own power. You listen too much to others/social media/others who do not practice but talk and talk and talk for views and to sell books who are trying to get famous. Focus on yourselves, look within, find your inner witch, inner Völva, inner energy worker, whatever you call yourself. Wield your power, don't listen to their fears and need to control others–making others just as sad, fake, fearful, and pathetic as they are. Let Sol Sul Sulis Helios Apollo not only shine bright on your path but obliterate the fakes and the bullshit. Be the hearthfire, the fire that can cook the food and burn the flesh."
Card: Persephone. "Goddess of life and decay. One who is celebrated and feared. Many seek Her. She is both–Life and Death, Beauty and Fear. She is power. Empowering, healing."
Card: The Norns. "Soothsayers. Past, presence, future, fate and destiny. What do these things mean on your path? Are they important?"
I saw threads that are falling, threads cut in pieces, some not, blood on bark with runes on them, names, lives, wishes, spells. Hulda. I see the name Persephone.
Odin speaking through the runes. Odin on Sleipnir. A free standing tall metal gate with words East/West on opposite sides, in fog, no one around it. West first. Manannan. There is a dead person on the west side, with long wet stringy hair.
Hagalaz as a shelter with Kanaz as the fire, small Isa falling down, ice forcing rest. Forcing pause.
Isa, Kenaz, Gebo. Gebo as divine blessings.
Nauthiz, needs, emergency, basic human survival.
Cailleach: "Remember if you want to stay healthy, take shelter from the storm, keep your fires lit–be it the tiny pilot light in your heaters, the fire in your hearth, campfire, stove, air fryer, instapot, crockpot."
Emphasis on the hearth fire, shelter, curl up by the fire with tea. Rest and heal.
Cailleach through Matt: "Don't just take shelter, build it you fools! Build community through acts of generosity and caring."
Cailleach through Foxlyn: "Hearthfire - center of family, community. Take turns tending to the hearthfire. Teach the young, old to young, old to young, keep it going. Generations. Rest and tend, rest and tend. Cook and defend, cook and defend.
Remember the nature of fire…life saving in many ways–from warmth to war…show me your inner witch. Healer, Warrior, Teacher, Tender. Are they a Torch Bearer or simply playing games? You all have the power to make changes. Be the Hearthfire. Show me your Witch."
All deities present were in great spirits. They were happy and encouraging. Excited for us. This is a good omen!
