My August 1st

On August 1st, I celebrate Midsummer and Honeysweet. For me, the First Day of Summer is on the Summer Solstice, so it only makes sense that August 1st would be Midsummer, just as Nov 1st is Midfall, Feb 1st is Midwinter, and May 1st is Midspring. From My Personal Blog Book of Mirrors:  https://witchfire02.blogspot.com/p/sacred-days-2018.html Just by this screenshot from my Sacred Year, you can tell I'm eclectic af! My holy day rituals are a mixture of entities, because humans like boxes, entities do not give a shit about your limitations, and neither do I. Sometimes a ritual may focus on a specific hearth culture, but often there's a mixture. I've been practicing for 30 years, I've never heard a complaint from my deities--I'm a "godphone", I'd be hearing from Them! I've been editing my Sacred Year for a long time. Gotta find what works for you--otherwise what's the point? I don't care if my Holy Days are ancient or new, or if I'm alone ...

The Melissae

Yesterday, during the Wyrd Sanctuary's Sunday Circle, we made energy balls.  The focus was more about feeling the energy, especially since some folks have aphantasia and can’t visualize.  I believe this weeks Circle Guide was using what they learned from Neuromagick: Basic Energy Work, Step by Step . My experience turned into something else, as usual.  I closed my eyes and built the ball.  The inside of my energy ball bloomed a big pink rose—not my doing!  I was curious, what did it mean?  Then a car-sized Melissae spirit appeared and entered my window.  The Melissae ("may-lease-ah") are Bee Goddesses, a type of Nymph, Spirits, and Priestesses of Ancient Greek and Minoan pagans (I think Mediterranean in general?).   The Bee Priestesses and Dancers!  In my experience, the Melissae have taken the forms of many different bee species, such as the honey bee, bumblebees, carpenter bees, wasps, and hornets; and they are in service of differen...

Blessed Midsummer and First Harvest, Yall!

If you observe August 1st or 2nd holy days, I hope yours was fruitful.  I spent my Sunday cooking and baking with my family, making three gluten-free strawberry and chocolate cream pies, and one big delicious savory shepherd's pie with lamb, turkey, peas, corn, red skinned mashed potatoes, and fresh basil from my garden.   I also attended three online zoom rituals: Wyrd Sanctuary's Honeysweet ritual, Three Cranes Grove's Lughnasa ritual, and Evermoving We Rise's Lammas ritual.  Plus I did divination for those who took advantage of my free mini-readings and Evermoving We Rise's Community and Friends .  I had my own little ritual honoring Ariadne, The Melissae, and Bee, giving honey to Them; as well as mead to our Ancestors, and some pie for the Gods and Spirits. I was tired last night! Today is a new day with renewed energy!  Let's see what message Bee has for the community and friends of Hearth Fox Oracle during this time of Midsummer, First Harvest,...

Card of the Day - 7/26/21

Today's card pull is from MJ Cullinane's Urban Crow Oracle .  It's a lovely partner with the artist's Crow Tarot ! Crow, what message do you have for the Hearth Fox Oracle community and friends? Grief - Take time for your grief.  When you're ready to heal, you will.  Go at your own pace, not at the pace of others.  Grief doesn't always involve the death of the living.  It could be the death of relationship, your old self, an idea, a dream, a job, hope, and many other things.  Honor your emotions, but don't dwell for too long, or you may lose yourself. Perspective - Don't be afraid to look at the issue from a different angle when you are ready to proceed. Did the message resonate?  Do you need clarification?  Comment below!  If you'd like a deeper message, please check out my services and book today! Come by on Wednesday for Divination with Shiva, and on Sunday for Divination with either Ariadne or a Bee Entity.   Hey if you'r...
