Blessed Midspring yall! It's morning of May 1st and it's raining off and on.  It's supposed to be rainy and stormy for the next few days.  Course the weather apps aren't super accurate.  We had rain this morning, but the storms we're supposed to have all day have vanished from the accu-weather app.  I hate the app, it's so inaccurate.  There's no storms, yet it says to expect storm this afternoon.  Too vague.  And because Google is being weird again, I can't share screen shot from my phone. But enough about annoying inaccurate weather apps, it's Midspring! Yesterday my family celebrated Midspring because today it was supposed to be storming all day.  We went to a park, played catch, explored a pond, walked, and ended at the playground.  Then ended the day with ice cream.   However the night ended with an adorable Bold Jumping Spider in my kitchen.  It was just as fascinated by me as I was by it.  I love spiders, especially...

If you do prosperity magiks today, here's your reminder! March 1st used to be a pretty significant day on my path. Thanks to Debra Macleod’s New Vesta Tradition, this day used to be the Flamma Vesta (I believe it’s also the Roman New Year). It was a day to honor the Roman Vesta and Her Priestesses, the Vestals. It was a day of purification and renewal of shrines and candles. A rededication of myself as a Vestal. A day of house cleaning and family bonding—immortal and mortal family. But…I already had a day like the Flamma Vesta. Well, days. The Vestalia in June (7th-15th, or sometimes just the 9th, depending on my spoons). The only thing that’s different is the Priestess rededication, which I’ve added to the Vestalia. Every 1st of the month, I also honor Vestia, aka Hestia-Vesta. (Over the course of last year, Their names fused into one, so I didn’t fight it.) And as an ADF Hearth Keeper, I’m already a Flame Keeper for my Hearth Mothers and Spirits. It's finally October! Today is a great day to spiritually cleanse your home in whatever manner you feel is right. I typically go a smoke cleanse in the names of our family's Hearth Entities, such as Hestia, Vesta, Hekate, Frigg, Loki, and the Tomten and Nisse. It's also a good day for prosperity attracting magiks and rituals. I have a money attracting sigil that works pretty well for us. And I also do the cinnamon thing, except I ask the Spirit of Cinnamon for their help, give offerings, and then blow cinnamon in through my main entrance. Again, another thing that helps us from drown in corporate greed--I-I-I mean "inflation". If you're sensitive to spirits, I'd suggest cleansing and recharging your wards, too. Remember, not all spirits are evil and out to get you. Most are neutral and are just existing. Places without spirits are unnatural.
