Happy National Fox Day!

Awww, a friend got Molly Remer's book Return .  <3 I also saw that  September's Animal Ally is the Fox , asking important questions: Where do I feel safe enough to be more of myself? Where might I give myself permission not to perform? Where might I need to shift or change? Where might I need some energetic camouflage? Going to break out the tools for these four questions, and ask them for the general HFO community. Since I don't have a fox deck yet, Fox is going to speak through the Urban Crow Oracle by MJ Cullinane. "In the shadows" "Among true friends"  "Keyboard"  "Art"  I've drawn Sacred Space . "Sleep"  "Alone"  I've drawn Growth .  Growth through harsh community/family lessons...at first.  Once you get the hang of it, then there are more opportunities for you.  I'm seeing a both/and here.  You already give yourself permission alone, but also have the bravery to be yourself in action and in r...

Calming Teachings from Chaotic Beings

I meant to share this earlier this week--this is the omen from Tuesday's ritual--a message that's not just for the attendees, but for anyone who needs it.  Not a big scary serious omen.  The ritual was about new beginnings, as this is a time that many are starting new school year, and others may have new projects--such as one druid's new youtube channel. The deities who showed up were surprising at first.  Loki,  Rán, and   Ægir .  Loki, I know, but Ran and Aegir, I don't know too well, never worked with Them before.  I know of Their domains and some stories--both are Ocean Jotuns, married, who have Nine Wave Daughters (who may or may not be Heimdall's mothers) .  I don't know much about Her husband other than His Hall, but I know Ran is associated with drowning, and collects victims in Her net.  I have met Her once before this ritual. It took me a few moments to connect to the two of Them because I don't already have an existing relat...

Hey Online Pagan Community, Go Touch Some Grass and Breathe

Starting to remember why I hated the FB Pagan Community, and one of the reasons I deleted my original account.  Constant bickering and judgement--the need for control and impossibly high expectations.   It's not just a FB thing--it's an online thing.  And it's not just the Pagan Community, but the PC is the one that I'm involved with the most.  It's not a new thing, by any means.  It's just exhausting.  There's awful things going on, and yall worried about how someone else practices and believes?  Because someone's practicing Pop Culture Paganism?  Because they have their own views about mythology or their experiences with the fae are different?  What about your own practice?  Your own beliefs?  Why are you allowing a stranger's practices affect you?  Honestly, if someone works with Marvel Thor, how does that affect your personal relationship with Thor? How they may or may not practice doesn't dirty the spiritual poo...

Emerge, Fox!

Sometime this morning, I woke up from an intense dream--second one this week and with the same theme!  Except this time, I woke up in a panic--heart pounding, quick breathing.  But the dream wasn't nightmarish--not really.   I went to one of my favorite local spiritual shops called The Magical Druid to see my local grove--Three Cranes.  Then suddenly I wasn't feeling well.  It was like I was being possessed without my consent and I couldn't remove the entity.  I couldn't because it wasn't a stranger coming into me from the outside, but an entity within me, emerging .  Maybe I've been watching too many Alien movies lately?   Prometheus and Covenant are good, though!  An entity not laid inside of me by a devious synth, an airborne virus, or a face-r*ping alien.  Something part of me.  Something that IS me. At one point, one of the cranes--a warm, plus sized woman with shoulder length brown hair (not Arch Druid Rev. ...

My Imbolc & Full Moon Dream

Intense dream this morning: Hubs and I went to a ritual by Byron Ballard. She was dressed like a whimsical dancer. She moved and instructed and many of us in the audience started to dance with her. Hubs stayed in the back, but I joined, entranced. Then Byron would single people out and give them a command, which involved doing something friendly to another dancer. When people did, we celebrated. Reminded me of Jester's and mischievous Fae. Joyful. Soon a whimsical costume would appear on that person. When it came to me, Byron told me to kiss a handsome guy with a round face and short brown hair. He was cute, but I said no because I didn't know him (it had nothing to do with my husband). Byron responded silently, disappointed. The rest were disappointed, too.  As was he.  It made sense what I said, but he felt left out--why didn't I want to?  What was wrong with him?   Nothing.  He was just a stranger.   Then my dance was different fro...
