Rabbit Rabbit!

If you do prosperity magiks today, here's your reminder! March 1st used to be a pretty significant day on my path. Thanks to Debra Macleod’s New Vesta Tradition, this day used to be the Flamma Vesta (I believe it’s also the Roman New Year). It was a day to honor the Roman Vesta and Her Priestesses, the Vestals. It was a day of purification and renewal of shrines and candles. A rededication of myself as a Vestal. A day of house cleaning and family bonding—immortal and mortal family. But…I already had a day like the Flamma Vesta. Well, days. The Vestalia in June (7th-15th, or sometimes just the 9th, depending on my spoons). The only thing that’s different is the Priestess rededication, which I’ve added to the Vestalia. Every 1st of the month, I also honor Vestia, aka Hestia-Vesta. (Over the course of last year, Their names fused into one, so I didn’t fight it.) And as an ADF Hearth Keeper, I’m already a Flame Keeper for my Hearth Mothers and Spirits. AND in February I joined a Flame ...

Blessed Flamma Vesta!

" Vesta, Bless this hearth and home. Bring health to our bellies and strength to our bones. Bless those whose arms are empty and long for a babe to nourish and bring up to love and honor the Goddess in her many faces. Bless those that hunger, and guide our hands to serve them. Bless us all with love and peace, and help us to remember you in all fires and flame ." - By Jade, Order of the White Moon Every March 1st, I honor the Roman Lady of the Living Flame and Her Priestesses, the Vestals.  Today is a day of renewal. In this post, I'll be explaining a bit about what the Flamma Vesta is and do a reading from the Goddess and the Priestesses to see what messages They may have for those who feel a connection. Also as I typed this, Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire came on my phone.  Good ole shufflemancy! What is the Flamma Vesta?  It's a day that's half inspired by the Roman New Year and half inspired by Debra Macleod's New Vesta Tradition .  For the ancients and ma...

Blessed Flamma Vesta and Dark Moon!

A few years ago, I came across the New Vesta Tradition founded by Debra Macleod.  Given that there aren't a whole lot of books about Vesta, or Hestia for that matter, I devoured her two books.  In those books, I believe she marked March 1st as the Flamma Vesta.  I could be wrong, as my memory ain't what it used to be and those books are packed away.  Given that I haven't seen anyone else talk about the Flamma Vesta, other than myself, I think it's a day made up by her--at least the name--which isn't a bad thing.  I often tweak and make up days that best suit my eclectic holy days.   According to the what I have found within Roman Paganism, the month of February is called the Februlia and it is a time of death and purification, a month dedicated to the Death God Februs (my spelling may be wrong).  March 1st was the Roman New Year and, as I believe Macleod stated, was the Flamma Vesta, when Vesta's temples would be cleaned and Her fires renewed....

New Products: Blessed Ash

Happy 2-22-2022, yall!  New items are available in my Etsy Shop! I have been dedicated to Hestia and Vesta since I was a child. They are two of my spiritual Mothers and I am humbled to be one of Their Priestesses. If you don't know who They are, Hestia is Greek and Vesta is Roman, and both are Goddesses of Hearth and Home. I honor Hestia-Vesta first for any ritual, on the first of each month, Midwinter, during the Vestalia in June, and on Yule. I also include Them when I bless client's homes and families. Throughout the year, the ash is collected in an urn and on New Year’s it is blessed by Hestia. I use the ash to mark wooden figures that represent my family members and my doors and windows to protect us. I also add some to other powdered mixtures for home and vehicle protections. The past few weeks, I kept feeling that the Goddesses and the Vestals wanted me to offer Their Blessed Ash to the public, so here we are! Hestia’s Blessed Ash is made from sage, rosemary, and lavend...
