March 6th is the Full Moon and on my spiritual path, it's also the Epopteia (Eh-pop-te-ah), which is a Greek word meaning " the fiery vision of Persephone returning from the Underworld " or so I've been taught. Some odd years ago, I was a Hellenic Polytheist for a few years, and this is another one of those half inspired by an existing holy time, half UPG. I don't know that there is an "official" Epopteia, or like the Flamma Vesta, if it was just a term that I loved and felt that it fit. Bad memory combined with not being able to find my Hellenic Polytheism binders at the moment. The Epopteia has a sister holy day in September, Persephone's Descent. In September, either on the Dark/Full Moon or on the Fall Equinox, Persephone returns to the Underworld. Either on March's Full Moon or Spring Equinox, She leaves Hades for 6 months, flowers in Her steps, joining Her power with many other Spring Entities. Why the moon issue? ...
