Dedicant Path Essay 5: 2 Powers Meditation

 July 9, 20 24: The Two Powers Meditation is a method to help one ground and center, getting into the right headspace for ritual, spell work, divination, and whatever task requires calm and focus, be it spiritual or mundane. It is a meditation that can help to connect, balance, and anchor a person to the waters of the Underworld and to the fires of the Heavens, while also using the waters and star fire to fill three cauldrons within us to purify, restore, and empower. For many years, I always used the basic tree meditation of roots and branches to ground and anchor myself between earth and sky. I had attempted other guided meditations in-person and online, but I struggled with them, whether it was the delivery, the script, or my ADHD–often the meditations are just too slow for my attention span. Golden Seed in the Womb, Roots in the Water: A Trance Journey with Cernunnos

  On July 16th , I attended an ADF ritual honoring Cernunnos. Rev. Vic guided us into the liminal space to meet with the wild God. This was my experience. A meditation with Cernunnos, during which, my third eye kept tingling. Which is and isn’t unusual for me. Lately’s it’s been tingling during my seiðr studies, which makes sense. But also whenever I watch Sinners and doesn’t make sense. There’s weird spiritual connections going on there that I haven’t figured out yet. Back to the guided meditation. I became my Winged Reindeer self in my backyard, at the fence line. On the other side is my neighbors yard with a little pond that I often visit when I astral travel. As the Winged Reindeer Cow, I just stood them in the dusky evening, smelling the air. My back twitching from the bugs. I stretched my wings and settled them back.
