I've begun working on my Fall Equinox Healing Blanket again. I've had an excellent summer, and I am ready for the coolness of fall.  I love living in an area where the seasonal changes are dramatic.  Although that also means the wind storms will more than likely return.  They've definitely become more of a thing over the last few years, in the spring and fall.   We had a glimpse of the winds yesterday evening.  Bout time to make sure outdoor stuff is secure, such as siding, bikes, mower, and that the bungees for the trash bin and deck furniture need to be replaced. Not to mention check medicine stores and everyone's cold weather and winter gear.  Winters are getting worse, too.  Well, here and there, but those 1-3 weeks of artic blasts?  Oooffff.  Don't get me wrong, I prefer having proper winters--our region needs it for pest control and other natural reasons.  We also live in a trailer--thin walls.  But I've been collec...

I love crocheting blankets in the winter, so cozy!  Well when it's actually cold; it was 65f yesterday, and today it's 19f but feels like 1f with the crazy winds.  I've been working on a High Day Healing Blanket series since 2023.  Midwinter (Feb1; kids helped with this one) Spring Equinox (IP) Summer Solstice (a friend helped with this one) Fall Equinox (IP) Winter Solstice (IP; using a log cabin square quilt design).     For Midspring (May1), I'm planning on making a bouquet blanket, and I'm learning how to make shapes, so I can make a beehive patchwork throw for Midsummer (Aug1).  I don't have anything planned yet for Midfall (Nov1)--maybe a big ole jack-o-lantern or something?  I still gotta finish a couple of these other ones first.  On September 16th, 2025, I performed a Fall Equinox ritual for my druid grove honoring Persephone and Her Return to the Underworld. The focus that I wanted to have was a “moment without sorrow”. Day of, I was struggling with my Au-ADHD—some days are better than others and the 16th was just ugh. That lying bitch Anxiety was just doing just that—being a lying bitch. I love writing and performing rituals despite my neurodivergencies, such as autism (which I’m only self diagnosed for the time being), ADHD, and dyslexia. But because of those divergences, sometimes I get nervous about messing up—even though there’s nothing wrong with messing up during ritual, I do it every time. It’s just the nature of the beast, and my Kindreds have never got upset with me. Just is, you know? I’m human, not perfect. But on Tuesday, Anxiety was just being bitchy, making me all nervous and stuff. There weren’t even any strangers! Perhaps because Persephone’s Descent is one of my favorite rituals...

 On September 16, 2025, I’ve volunteered to perform a Fall Equinox ritual for Virtual Fire Proto-Grove, ADF. I’m going to do a ritual that I’ve been doing for several years called Persephone’s Descent—Her return to the Underworld, back to her Beloved Hades. On this ritual, I go/take attendees into Gaia’s Womb—a cave system that leads down to the Underworld. Either we following a stream of blood down or we’re taken by Bee/Melissae into a hive built into the entrance of the cave. From the entrance, we’re guided by Bee to wherever the Withering Persephone is waiting for us. She’s usually sitting by a fire, although there are times when She’s standing and we slowly walk and talk with Her. In the spring, Persephone Ascends to earth as Kore, with flowers and life in every step, usually taking the form of a fawn or a Doe. Sometimes as an anthropomorphic White-Tailed Doe. In the Fall, Kore Descends to the Underworld as the Withering Persephone, with decay and death in every step. Sh...

Happy October it's *CINNAMON DAY! If you're not aware, every first day of the month, take a little bit of cinnamon in your hand and stand outside of your open door. Calm and ground yourself and charge that cinnamon...or awaken the power of cinnamon as it is a good money drawing spice. Say, "Money flows into my home. Money flows into our businesses, bank accounts, and wallets." Or something similar. 3,7, or 9 times. Odd numbers are powerful magik, you can also use any number that you associate with money, especially if it makes you happy. And/or visualize positive money flowing--money for rent, bills, food, and fun--through your door. When you're ready, blow the cinnamon in through your doorway. This past Saturday, I hosted a public Fall Equinox Ritual & Potluck at a local favorite park.  Family-friendly and free, just like Honeysweet .  It was a lot of fun.  A lot of people showed up in the beginning, but weren't able to stay for the ritual, but I'm really glad that they came.  We hung out and ate some really good GF Cheeseburger Soup.  I also got a much appreciated lesson on how to use a park grill and grill corn on the cob.  They're also a tea maker, so yall know I had to support my fellow local business owner.  Check out Opal Dragon on Facebook !
