Box Heads

" Limiting boxes of belief. Humans look so silly walking around with boxes on their heads. Blinded, walking into walls ." - This mornings wisdom from Loki. I was in a forum this morning, and someone said that because they weren’t part of a certain lineage, there was no way a certain deity would contact them. I—who am definitely not part of that lineage—have had experiences with the same deity. So I asked them, “why not?” Who told you that? A controlling human? The Gods are gonna contact who They want, regardless of human rules and wants. No human owns the Gods , that defeats what They are . Otherworldly, supernatural, super powerful beings that many worship, serve, and are devoted to. Yet…a specific group owns them and thus control who They can and can’t contact? What? Makes absolute perfect sense . Are the Gods real or not? Are They individuals? Do They have free-will and agency? Or are They just collectibles for your fragile ego? So Loki chimed in with His wisdom...

Divine Message with a Feline Distraction

Last night, I performed the omen for Virtual Fire Proto-Grove's ritual. It was a tad disjointed, because my cat thought the rune bag (that Loki picked btw) was cat treats.  Then she realized that I had a cup of water and she wanted my water.  When she wasn't in my face, she was zoomie-ing all around me.  Cat chaos.  A lesson from Loki, other than " What? I didn't give you that cat, Freyja did! " was put the cat outside of the room during the ritual.  😆  Two entities came through last night: the Spirit of the Scythe and Manannán mac Lir (whom I call Mac). The Scythe Spirit picked the Elder Futhark runes and Manannán mac Lir picked the Fairy Tale Fortune cards . As I shuffled the runes, I had a vision (and a cat butt) of a deer buck head that quickly decayed and became the Witch King (buck skull head on top of humanoid body).  Then shifted into a feminine form, and I saw the word "Queen".  A Goddess lifted the buck skull from her head,...

The Conduit Spirit Connection

Today is April 1st, 2025 , as I write. I’m actually about to attend an ADF Virtual Proto-Grove ritual honoring Loki on Zoom. I have a cup of peanuts for offerings, since the local crows around here love peanuts. To be fair, Loki wanted mead, but the closest that I have to that right now is honey and water. I wanted to share a gift that I got from my eldest for my 41st birthday a few days ago. It is the statue of Pythia, a Delphic High Priestess and Oracle, holding a laurel branch and a bowl of spring water. I love it. Her eyes look eerily realistic, too. Or perhaps its just me? I’ve been wanting this statue every since I saw her. For in-person readings, I usually have a little altar set up for Hermes, My Ancestors, Fox Guide, and which ever Goddess wants to come along. Usually its Eir, one of Frigg’s Handmaidens and one of Odinn’s Valkyries—A Goddess of Healing. Very appropriate for the oracular work that I do. But honestly, I wanted that Oracle statue to help connect m...

Buggy Messengers

Oh, to be a Loki Fly on the wall...or a mint leaf. Sometimes Loki takes the form of a fly for me. I know its Loki because it follows me around and does things that flies don't usually do. Especially when He really wants my attention. Loki COULD just say something to get my attention...but no. Sometimes He'd rather take the form of a fly and drive me nuts until I finally stop swatting and ask if its Them. Once Loki delivers the message, the fly disappears and doesn't bother me...until the next time Loki Fly decides to "bug" me again. © 2024 Hearth Fox Oracle

Book Review: The Witch's Heart

Again, I'm not a professional blogger or book reviewer, just a lover of books and writing. Seeing that I don't have any more Goddess Girls or Thunder Girls books on hand, I decided to read something more for my age and something a little bit closer to Norse Mythology: The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec . The story is about Angrboda, Gullveig, seidr, her relationships with Loki and Skadi, she and Loki's children, Odin, Ragnarok, and the new world born from Surt's fires and ash.  It's about love and friendship, betrayal and loss, healing, rage, and finding oneself.  I loved how the author weaved the surviving myths together, filling in chunks that we just don't have, as we only have what's survived with her own imagination. I laughed and cried, and really felt Angrboda's pain and strength. I think it's a beautiful story, skillfully written, and one of my favorite retellings of modern mythology so far. It also highlights the issue of why...

Fox and Snake

I accept trades and cash when I do psychic readings. For non-local/online trades, I usually direct them to my Amazon Wish List, while for local/in-person trades, I accept other forms of trade, like books, coffee, pizza, and such. On instagram I was messaged by an artist about trading art for a reading. I'm really glad that I did. The artist, Cameron of @snakecharmerart was easy to talk to and really nice. I already followed them from a Lokean group we're in, because I loved their vibrant images of Loki. They asked what I was interested in, and I said something bright and colorful, with Loki and/or a Fox. Here's what they made for our trade: I absolutely love this picture. I'm eager to add it to Loki's shrine. Again, thank you so much, Cameron! Go show em some love, yall! <3

Patience, Little One!

Loki's all up in my brain this afternoon, wanting me to draw cards from a deck that I don't use very often (although it's one of my oldest decks), the Robin Wood Tarot. I've used cards from this deck for spells, so it's not exactly a full deck (kind of fitting, though, present company!). But it's want He wants to use.   So Loki, what's your message? 5 of Cups - Look for the positives. Strength Reversed - A fear of loneliness. 6 of Cups Reversed - Delay. Hm, quite different than yesterday...well kind of. It's more like "Hey yesterday's reading is still happening, just not quite as quick your impatient butt would like. Don't fret." Yesterday, I did have one of those down moments of small business when I visited my et y and saw new shop favorites and likes, but still no purchases.   Bittersweet, right? I appreciate the likes, follows, and hearts of course! Thank yall for those! Having purchases would definitely be a cherry on top. Not a fa...

Flattery WILL Get You Somewhere!

As soon as I grabbed my Frigg figure this morning, I got a psychic ping by Loki. I drew a card from His deck and got "You're the Shit and don't forget it!" Yeah, I'll take a compliment from a Deity!  But He wasn't done there. He also had me pull cards from the Fairy Tale Fortune by Liz Dean and Bev Speight. As I shuffled, I also saw the word "study". Since the Honeysweet ritual on Sunday, I've taken this week to rest from my usual seidr and Ar nDraiocht Fein studies and essay writing (I gotta write 11 of these for the Dedicant Path). I've been crocheting, actually. The acrylic nails that I got back in June kind of forced me to go on break from fiber arts and writing (they're just now starting to fall off [although I had taken a metal file to them last week because I need to type notes, damn it]. I'm collecting 'witch nails' to powder for future self-love, beauty, and inner child magics!).   Back to Loki, yes, I am plan...

Trickster's Day!

Although I hate pranks... Happy Trickster's Day!  Praise Fox, Coyote, Raven, Crow, Ferret, Dionysus, Hermes, Loki, Odin, and the rest! This is a day that I avoid magikal and prayer work of any kind.  The Tricksters and Fools are playing and I'd rather lay low.  Give my praise and offerings to the Spirits and Gods in hopes that me and mine will be left out of their harsh and mean pranks.   The actual funny and lighthearted jokes I don't mind, but pranksters aren't typically known for that kind of fun.  They're known for cruel and mean pranks.  Assholery. So no magik and no prayer, BUT that doesn't mean no divination.   For today's card pull, I'm going to be using the blunt, cusses like a sailor deck, the Rebel Oracle .  This is a deck that Loki often favors when I do divination with Them. Close your eyes.  Take some deep breaths.  Think of a question or ask for general guidance.  Pay attention to positions, colors, numbers...

Happy Trickster's Day! Pick a Number!

Happy Trickster's Day!  Enjoy this song by the Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus, Loki . Tonight at 8pm Eastern, on Zoom, Evermoving We Rise is having are Dark Moon Zoom and you're invited.  You don't have to be a member and it's free.  High Phoenix Nikki is going to be leading the ritual, and I'm going to be performing divination and relaying messages from the Tricksters.  Come on and join us tonight, it's no joke! Today I'm going to perform a collective reading for Hearth Fox Oracle Community and Friends.  For a Pick-a-Pile that I did for Evermoving yesterday, for the New Moon in Aries, check out this link and see if it resonates! For today's divination Loki has selected "his" deck, the Rebel Unicorn. The deck that this innocent little sweet pouch holds has an angry unicorn on the cards and offerings rude, blunt wisdom and cusses like a sailor.  The first time I saw it, Loki wanted me to get it for Him, and I'm glad that I did.  I've used...

Message from Loki

Pick-a-Tool with Loki

Happy Wednesday yall!  I'm finally over my cold, which means its time for some divination!  Today is the 18th, and in my world, that is a day sacred to the Norse Entity of Chaos, Loki.  Let's see what type of Pick-a-Tool He wants to do. Loki has picked Womanrunes and the Urban Crow Oracle. Take a deep breath and clear your mind. Focus on your question. What would you like advice about, Community? Something specific? Some general guidance? Let's see what message this Trickster may have for you. Loki, what is your message for Hearth Fox Oracle community and friends? Remember to pay attention to any numbers, letters, or positions that may come to you, as it could be your intuition or guide helping you pick.  You can pick more than one. Have your selected your message?  Are you ready for the reveal? The Flame - Fire.  Energy.  Vitality.  What fires you up?  What are you passionate about?  Figure it out and do the thing.   The...

Pick-a-Card with Loki - 7/17/21

Today's Pick-a-Card's messages are coming from Loki, via the Rebel Deck. Warning, this deck uses profanity. If you're not down with a deck using really blunt language, then please check out the Evermoving We Rise Pick-a-Card with Loki, via the Wildwood Tarot: https://www.facebook.com/evermovingwerise/photos/a.105823454454181/353896056313585 I’m sure many of you know of the Marvel Loki, but what about the real Loki? Who are they? First off, Loki is not some Norse Devil and demon, as some people paint Them to be. Trust me, if you study the myths, you’ll find that some of the Norse deities have done far worse things than Loki has done. It’s true that Loki is responsible for the death of Baldur and that They lead chaotic forces against the Gods—Ragnaroc—and thus causing the end of that world. In the new world, Baldur emerges from the spirit world as the new ruler of the Gods, thus starting a new cycle of life. Loki is the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs. Loki is the tri...
