Yesterday was my birthday.  I always do some divination for myself.  Since I've been practicing Being Present, I haven't done as many personal readings for myself over the last few months.  Loki wanted me to use His deck, and I pulled a card that said, "Stop talking.  Just shut up and listen."  I've been gradually collecting camping equipment, and I finally have all of the basics: Tent Pegs Guy Lines Mallet Cot Sleeping bag LED Lanterns Compass Water Bottle Flint Fire Starter (and some tender to practice fire making/tending) Kooler Small First Aid Kit Next I'll start focusing on a backpack and cookery.  Not propane--I know there's more control with propane, but I want to learn how to 1) start a fire and 2) cook on an open fire. I also want a hand saw, a hatchet, and a nice pocket knife, too, for wood and general use.  Later, cold weather gear. Camping for fun and for spirituality.  I'm at the point of my Seiðr practise that Freyja and my guides want me to go camping and perform utisetis.   Also learning how to make, tend, and cook with fire are devotional actions for my Hearth Kindreds, and those wild ones who want me to be out in nature more often.   My 41st birthday was on Friday, and it was a great weekend. My hubs got me a patio chair and table that I’ve been wanting forever. I love it. After a sushi dinner and some gluten-free cake, I did a Birthday reading for myself, using the Bee Tarot and the Fairy Tale Fortune decks.
