Rabbit Rabbit! Blessed Full Moon and Happy Trickster's Day!

For me, April 1st isn't about mean pranks and stupid jokes, its about acknowledging and honoring our inner Tricksters. Do you acknowledge and honor your Inner Tricksters? Last night I led a ritual with my virtual grove for Tricksters Day and I thought was going to be about protecting the marginalized, but the Tricksters focused on acknowledging how people use their tricks for good and survival, showing that even though many people fear and crap all over Tricksters, they too are Tricksters. Kettles and pots. Tricksters are good at holding up those mirrors, aren't They? it wasn't to shame anyone, but to show and and encourage people to honor their Inner Tricksters. The Ritual --that I had zero inspiration to write for and was still working on it at start time.  The ritual that Zoom wouldn't open for after many tries.  The ritual that my camera randomly turned off during.  The ritual that a spirit interrupted by jiggling my door.  The ritual that my cat Jimmy V decided ...

A Murder of Tricksters

In the spirit of March 17th, our High Day ritual focused on the energies of growing good luck and honoring Luck Entities. As it was a round robin (and the script has 3 different speaking options for each part), Willow had the idea to use dice, and the three of us grabbed our D&D dice sets.  Willow used the D4 to see which option of the script she'd speak. Before ritual we were talking about different luck deities, and Loki showed up. Said that chaos was very much a part of luck, especially bad luck. Chaos deities like Him can aid us in dealing with bad luck--getting through it--helping to be prepared, helping to turn bad luck into good lessons and into future good luck through practical means, not always through miracles and magik--relying on other outside forces. Relying on yourself instead.  That those experiences and lessons...

Masks and Antlers

I got the kids costumes ready for Halloween: 1 Fallout Vault Dweller 1 Fallout Wastelander 1 Godzilla Which just leaves me.  I usually go as a Kitsune/Foxkin, Raven/Crowkin, or Goatkin.  Last year, passing out candy, I was a Foxkin.  This year I'm really feeling Deer energy, so I may go as a Deer Woman.  I have two deer masks, but one I specifically use in my Reindeer Mother Winter Solstice Rituals.   Yule 2022 The other is a gold buck mask that I've been wanting to repaint.  It hasn't yet been consecrated as an Oracle Mask, unlike the mask above. It's not dedicated to any of my Deer Entities yet.  Course when I try to picture myself as Deer Woman, the old Crow Hag takes over.  I guess it's an either/or for Deer or Crow this year.   There's always Ren Fair, if I can afford to go this year.  In 2023, I went as Crow/Raven Hag and it was awesome.  People actually wanted photos with/of me.  That was a lot of fun.
