Channeling to me is different than possession work. It's the difference between evocation (entity in your space) and invocation (entity in you). Channeling is me repeating what the entity is saying, whereas possession is them in my body speaking through me. With channeling I am present, with possession most of the time, I'm not. When doing possession work, sometimes it's like I'm in a waiting room. I can see the entity talking to someone, but I can't see who. Sometimes I'm partially present, especially for email/text sessions. I'm more aware of my body and surroundings, but not much. I think it was Ivo Dominguez in Spirit Speak who said the levels of possession are like being in a car (I may be wrong--I read so many books on this subject, I can't always remember who said what. One thing that was funny last night, is after invocation, I kept shaking my head like a horse, and it turned out that Sleipnir was there for someone, and it made sense to them.  I was worried that my neck was going to be sore this morning, but I'm fine.   A reminder of why doing yoga and stretches before invocation is important.  You never know what's going to happen or who will show up. If you're attending a ritual/invocation and are told to not leave until it's over, please don't leave, especially in the middle of the invocation. If you're not sure you can stay, or if you're not serious about what's going on, if you're treating it like a science experiment, a joke, or amusement, just don't go. It's rude, draining, and not good for health. This work isn't a game. Dealing with the public, I already had additional wards in place, including keeping the attendees safe from hitchhikers, even if they were to invite an entity into their space for "proof" or "fun". When a couple of people left in the middle of the invocation last night, the snap of energy wasn't that bad for me--not as bad as it could've been.
