This morning I woke up from a dream where I was eating the most delicious salmon that I've ever had in my life.  Of course I looked it up because....huh?  I love me some fish, but that's all I was doing, just indulging in some salmon. According to Dream Moods , it may mean, " To dream that you are eating fish symbolizes your beliefs, spirituality, luck, energy and nourishment. It is food for the soul ".  Since it was specifically Salmon , it could also mean, " To see a salmon in your dream represents determination, strength, and wisdom. Today I sat outside in the sun.  For about a month, I've been working on turning my pastey white skin tan...or trying to.  Once the lake water is warm enough to swim, I'm going to be spending a lot of time there, and I'd rather not turn into a lobster.  Anywho, when I do go outside, I greet Sunna, set an intention, set a timer on my phone, and either meditate/trance or read.  Today I chose to read: Edda by Snorri Sturluson.  Not my favorite author, but an important one to read (I'd rather be reading Dr Jackson Crawford's translations of Snorri).  I'm familiar with the stories and mythology, as it would seem that every author who writes about Norse Paganism and Magik has to talk about the mythology.  Can't have one without the other, which is kind of annoying to be honest.  But, hey, makes a book go faster when you're skipping parts that you've read multiple times. On the 1st, whilst looking for a tarot deck (that was NOT where it was supposed to be), I found a small pouch of Story Cubes that I had intended on turning into a divination set ten years ago.  Elk and Manannan were totally into the idea.  I crocheted a pouch for the set.  Midway through I realized that it should've been an apple pouch instead of a pumpkin.  BUT personally I'd rather go to an Isle of Pumpkins than Apples in the Afterlife.  Definitely not traditional Manannan, but UPG.  Apples aren't even native to North America.  Pumpkins are though! The pouch is big enough for my shuffling hand and for more Story Cubes, hence why it's a little wonky.  I also designed it a little different than most of my pouches, so it sits flat on its butt.  Maybe if I do an apple, I'll make that one a drawstring?  I could also still make this one into a drawstring, too.   Aug 27, 2025: I’ve been reading a book called Where the Spirits Ride the Wind: Trance Journeys and Other Ecstatic Experiences by Felicitas D. Goodman. The author and her group explored trance through postures. I’ve been experimenting with ecstatic postures since 2020, I think? I believe during that year, a local group starting having online sessions on Facebook Live—I think they were called the Mud Lotus Project? The Cunning Prometheus, the Titan of Forethought and Counsel.  A Recent Trance Possession Experience. On Wednesday, April 9th, I attended a weekly ritual with my Grove. It was a Round Robin, where people can volunteer for parts. I felt Spirit pushing me to sign up for Omen. Divination is my favorite part of ritual and if no one else wants to do it, I volunteer (I really do encourage others to volunteer to practice, to get comfortable, and so on). …..But with me, given that I practice trance possession and automatic typing/writing, I never know how the omen’s going to go. Sometimes it’s normal, or as normal as it can be with me. Other times it’s just a channeling—me telling the audience what I’m hearing/seeing.
