Divine Message with a Feline Distraction

 Last night, I performed the omen for Virtual Fire Proto-Grove's ritual. It was a tad disjointed, because my cat thought the rune bag (that Loki picked btw) was cat treats.  Then she realized that I had a cup of water and she wanted my water.  When she wasn't in my face, she was zoomie-ing all around me. 

Cat chaos. 

A lesson from Loki, other than "What? I didn't give you that cat, Freyja did!" was put the cat outside of the room during the ritual.  😆 

Two entities came through last night: the Spirit of the Scythe and Manannán mac Lir (whom I call Mac). The Scythe Spirit picked the Elder Futhark runes and Manannán mac Lir picked the Fairy Tale Fortune cards.

As I shuffled the runes, I had a vision (and a cat butt) of a deer buck head that quickly decayed and became the Witch King (buck skull head on top of humanoid body).  Then shifted into a feminine form, and I saw the word "Queen".  A Goddess lifted the buck skull from her head, revealing a hooded void where a face should be.  When I was able to look closer, I saw that her face was space and stars.

Then my cat interrupted by trying to put her head in my cup of water and then she started playing with my pendulum. She eventually jumped down and I was able to draw the runes.

The Scythe Spirit picked:

I saw and heard images and words of a drum, Irish ancestors celebrating around a fire, coming together in the face of adversity. "When you feel lonely and feel like you don't have anyone around you, you have your ancestors around you." 

Mac came through, selecting the deck of cards. As I shuffled the deck, I saw images and words of Sea, castle in Ireland, Ireland, ancestors, all Irish ancestors.

I saw and heard "Oppressors thrive in darkness, use Kenaz as a torch, as a fire, as a beacon to light your path to scare away those who lurk in the darkness." The word Pie (probably Proto Indo European ancestors).

Later I realized that Mac was connecting me to the Spirits of Ireland, for them to give the message. Not that the message was specifically for those with Irish Ancestors.

I saw and heard a Snake (a colorful green cartoony snake), Ireland, Druids, a Gaelic word that starts with sea----, and Manannán.

Once the cat zoomied out of the room, I looked at the cards and the runes and heard nothing, but a cat attacking paper under my bed. I asked for a little clarification and suddenly word vomited:

Kenaz is the moon, letting people see your light, dog companion relates to ancestors, and if you follow their wisdom you can find hope and security.

This reading took a lot longer than usual because of the cat distraction, and it was quite jumbled. After the rite ended, before posting the ritual omen in the Discord, I took a look at everything again:

Mac emphasized Ireland and Ancestors, but also PIE Ancestors--Proto-Indo European. Like a, look to them--let them be your guides through oppression, through the darkness. They know how and can teach us. Give us the tools... 

A reading that I realize is very much in line with Three Cranes Grove's omen from August 3rd at the Dublin Irish Festival. Tools and Inspiration.

"Let those who know oppression show you the way to the light." Mac said.

Sometimes readings can be absolutely overwhelming chaos. Sometimes it takes me a longer to connect and even longer to decipher everything that I'm being shown and hear. Which can be awkward when people are waiting for answers. I just have to take my time and ask my guides for help. Sometimes events are loud with people, spirits, and energy flying around. Sometimes my ADHD also causes an issue with my concentration. But I usually let clients know what's going on in my head.

I honestly didn't realize what Mac was doing until after I googled Him. I knew a little bit about this Irish Sea God, who usually plays a part in our Irish Hearth Culture Rituals as Gatekeeper. I'd only had limited experience with Him through others.

Last night, I learned that He's also a psychopomp for the Otherworld/Spirit World. I quickly realized that Mac was connecting me to the Spirits of Ireland, not necessarily those who had Irish Ancestors. Because the message wasn't just for those folks, but for everyone dealing with oppression and scary shit. It was a little confusing--what I was seeing and what I feeling.

Psychic work is an art, and its different for everyone. Learning what certain symbols mean in general, for yourself, and for others. Learning to trust your feelings and intuition. Just being able to decipher everything--it's jigsaw puzzle with a picture to guide you. But I'm grateful for the connection, guidance, and patience from the entities and the attendees.

And for the lesson from Loki about kicking the cat out next time. In a week, I'll be leading my first ritual with Virtual Fire Proto-Grove--Honeysweet. I'm pretty excited about. Definitely don't need Miss Ventress in my face for the ritual! Perhaps I give this little Outdweller an offering of treats next week--lure her out with food and close the door.
