Apparently my body decided that I needed to rest before jumping into my first week of the Pre-Clergy Program. I've been so tired this week and today I woke up congested. Oddly, no energy or focus to read or work on the PCP, but plenty to sporadically clean here and there, and to work on a hearth-inspired throw/blanket.
Log Cabin Square Quilt Design In Progress...
The hearth is "built". Now I'm working on the cabin log walls to go around it. It's going to be fairly abstract, like you're both looking down on a hearth and through a window.
I've learned something about myself--apparently it's not just my photos that I want to tell a story with, but also my blankets and throws. It also keeps me interested, too. It can take years to make a blanket, and I like to finish my projects before moving onto the next--gotta keep the ADHD part of my brain happy! This one is the Winter Solstice Healing Blanket, definitely dedicated to my Hearth Mothers & Spirits. As I crochet, I've been thinking hearth-y thoughts and about Them:
- Hestia
- Vesta
- Vestals
- Hekate
- Frigg
- Freyja
- Loki
- Disir
- Brigando/Bridget
- Mother Holle
- Tomten
- Nisse
- Guardians
I'm vainly hoping that this cold clears up soon, because a movie that I've been looking forward to since I watched
28 Years Later is coming out tomorrow:
The Bone Temple. I really need my Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell fix, darn it. I'm currently cut off from HBO and can't watch
Sinners--my comfort movie. I've been so looking forward to
The Bone Temple that I haven't watched the last season of
Stranger Things or the new season of
Fallout yet. I don't even like going to movie theatres--the last one was for Sinners, but before that one, it had been literal years.
Now I'm congested. Boo!
Great timing body. Thanks.
I'm going to hydrate, drink some herbal tea, and try to sleep this darn virus out of me. Pray to Eir for some healing, because I definitely don't have the energy to heal myself magikally. Guess today I'll be thinking of the Healers (which includes the above, too. But I'll be thinking more of Eir and Kuan Yin).
Thanks for all of the support!
Wash your hands. Hydrate. Rest. Social Distance. Mask up if need be. Be responsible and considerate of others, and be gentle with yourselves--tis the season for snot.
