Blessed Solstice and Strawberry Moon!

In my family, we celebrate the High Days for three days.  Yesterday we saved a Gray Treefrog from a scorching death, we had Bdubs for dinner, and we caught lightning bugs in the evening.  We have more planned this weekend. A Gray Treefrog I didn't know we had Treefrogs in Ohio This little dude was green with yellow on its legs, and kind of reminded me of the throw that I'm working on. I'm also participating in a Make-a-Long in a fiber artist Facebook Group by Devin Hunter and Arin Murphy-Hiscock called  Fiber Spirit .  The MAL is focusing on Manifest, thus whatever we're making has to manifest something.  It started yesterday and ends on August 1st. I got some yarn from a friend a couple of weeks ago and it had 6 crocheted patches in it.  So I made more, with the intention of having Sunna bless it on the Summer Solstice with the overflowing positive energies of joy, good health, and abundance.  Each piece was made with those intentions.  Yes...

The First Day of Summer Will Soon Be Here

(Copy/paste from my Druidry Blog ) The Summer Solstice is in a couple of days and I'm excited. I've been feeling the Norse Solar Goddess Sunna poking at me over the last few months. I'm working on a kid-friendly ritual to honor Her with my family, without the wasps and sudden possession this time! Yes, last year, I hosted a Summer Solstice ritual with a local group (before I joined ADF).  We had the ritual in a shelter at Delaware State Park (Ohio) and I was unknowingly standing under a wasp nest that was beneath a sign.  I was stung 5 times--once on my thumb and 4 on my thigh.  Some of the attendees were surprised by how I handled it.  I wasn't crying, cursing, or hating the wasps or myself.  After some ice and a few minutes to sit, I just moved the altar and continued.  Don't get me wrong, it hurt!  But whether I was sitting or performing the rite, it'd still be hurting, so I decided to go on with ritual that I had worked so hard on planning....

How My Vestalia is Going & Hestia the Invisible

Boo!  I've been sick this Vestalia and haven't been able to do my usual stuff, minus a deep spiritual cleanse of my home and a re-warding.  First I cleansed my home by asking the Norse Solar Goddess Sunna to cleanse my property and vehicle with sunlight.  Then I went inside and opened the windows and curtains for that spring breeze and sunshine.  The weather has actually been pretty nice this Vestalia, with temps in the 60's-75F.  I've been spending a lot of time outside resting, reading, and crocheting. Inside, I lit the sage bundle by saying, " In the names of Hestia-Vesta and the Vestals, I light this sage to cleanse my home of all unwanted energies and entities.  You are not wanted here and must leave! "  I walked my home counterclockwise to banish those unwanted energies.  Then I declared what energies and entities are welcome. I cleansed the home again with energy, to get those pesky nooks and crannies, like under my trailer. Next, I re-ward...

Happy, Safe, & Gentle Pride Month!

TW/CW: My LGBTQ+ Pride Story This is a Pansexual Pride Blanket that I started on July 28, 2019 and finished on March 10, 2023. It wasn't supposed to take me that long. I flew through the pink, but when I got to the yellow, I slowed down significantly, because it's just one solid block of color and it bored my ADHD. Because of that, the yellow is only 2 skeins. Overall, the blanket is made from 9-10 skeins of yarn, and is approx. 80x40 inches. It's not straight (HA!) by any means, and it tapers, but it's a favorite blanket around the house, one that I specifically pull out of storage for the month of June. I'm not sure if it is finished. Originally I wanted to put a Bisexual Flag border around it, but I wasn't able to afford the yarns for that part at the time. I still may make a bi pride flag blanket. Then I thought that if I do that, then I join them together as one massive pride blanket! Why bi, when I have a pan flag blanket? Well, because I used ...

Fox and Snake

I accept trades and cash when I do psychic readings. For non-local/online trades, I usually direct them to my Amazon Wish List, while for local/in-person trades, I accept other forms of trade, like books, coffee, pizza, and such. On instagram I was messaged by an artist about trading art for a reading. I'm really glad that I did. The artist, Cameron of @snakecharmerart was easy to talk to and really nice. I already followed them from a Lokean group we're in, because I loved their vibrant images of Loki. They asked what I was interested in, and I said something bright and colorful, with Loki and/or a Fox. Here's what they made for our trade: I absolutely love this picture. I'm eager to add it to Loki's shrine. Again, thank you so much, Cameron! Go show em some love, yall! <3

A Answer

Last night, I journeyed for advice. I found myself in a dark cave, sitting across from Elen at a dark fire pit, Alum sitting on my crossed legs.  Goddesses around us.  This was the dark place that we worked the strength magik together recently.  But everything was frozen in time.  The goddesses, the light, everything, except for me.  They told me to wait, but this wasn't waiting--this was stuck.  No movement.  No passing time.  Stagnant.  I stood up, Alum asked me what was wrong.  I told him that this wasn't Wait.  This was stuck. The rune Isa. I was stuck, in between decisions.  This was true.  Although it's not like I had to make an immediate decision.  Nothing was on the line.  Just me trying to figure out what direction I should take. A snake woman--who may or may not have been Medusa--slithered around the edge of camp.  Stabbed a bronze heart tipped arrow into my chest from behind. I woke up on ...

A Rethink

Back in early 2022, some of my closest deities initiated me into priesthood to serve them and other entities. After that, I paid $25 or so for ordination from Universal Life Church and got my marriage license from my state. Since early 2022, I've been seeking training programs to earn my clergy ordination. I serve my entities, but I also want to ethically serve my human communities, too. I often go back and forth about removing "Priestess" from my business stuff, because sometimes I feel like a fraud. The Imposter Syndrome is strong, yall. Since being sure that this is what I want to do, I've been doing a lot of independent studies, taking workshops and courses, and learning from other Pagan Clergy, too. Searching for legit schools aimed at Paganism isn't easy.  In a lot of places Paganism still isn't accepted as a real umbrella of religions and spiritual paths.  Chances of finding seminaries that ordain Pagans...I wasn't successful.  And I looked at...

Allow Me to Introduce Myself to the New Folks

First off, thank you for the Likes, Follows, Shares, Recommendations, Purchases, Donations, and Support!  I really do appreciate it. Almost a year to the day that I created the About Me on my Facebook page.  For those who don't know me: I do not follow/like to get follow/likes. If I Like/Follow, it's because I genuinely like what you're doing. If you don't like what you see, please don't feel like you have to follow/like me. But I appreciate every one! She/Her. Wife and mom. Pansexual. Neurodivergent (ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, cPTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and I may be autistic). My Spiritual Name is Foxlyn Wren (formerly Hearth Foxlynx). I have been an Eclectic Witch and Pagan for 30 years, as of 2024. Since 2023, I've been learning seidr and druidry. I've performed group rituals--private and public--for 6 years. I've been practising divination and psychic work for others for nearly 10 years. I've been teaching spiritual classes, divin...

Happy February!

Happy Midwinter, yall! This evening, with my family, we'll be honoring our family's Hearth and Home Entities, as well as some Winter ones, too. Hestia - Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home. First and the Last. Fire Keeper. Key Bearer. I have been a Daughter since I was at least 8-years-old, and a Hearth Keeper since 2015. Vesta - Roman Goddess of Hearth, Home, and City. The Living Flame. She's been in my life since I was a child, too. Sometimes you may see me hyphenate Their names, because sometimes They appear as one Goddess and sometimes two. I am one of Her Daughters and a Vestal. Hekate - Titaness, Goddess, Key Bearer, Torch Bearer of Land, Sea, and Sky; of Witchcraft and Spirits; and yes, even a Hearth Deity. Kind of like the Celtic Brigid, Hekate governs over many areas. I am one Her Children, as well as a Torch Bearer and Priestess. Frigg - Norse Goddess. Key Bearer. Wife of Odin, mother of Baldur. Practitioner of magik and prophecy; sees much, shares none. Loki - Nor...

Still Around

Howdy!  Long time no post, although I have been active my Facebook .  Life's been day-by-day here.  My mom died back in October, and although she and I didn't have the best relationship (technically my grief journey with her started in 2020...well a little before that), it's hitting me harder than I thought.  Although I've been grieving a little longer than others, this is the finality, you know?  No apologies, no mending, me--once again--having to find closure on my own.  Listening to certain songs over and over....  Watching A Christmas Story Christmas over and over almost every day.  That movie's message was something that I really needed last month, except there weren't any surprise gifts under the tree on Yule or Christmas day.   With cPTSD and ADHD, I've struggled with insomnia for most of my life, but with this grief, I've been experiencing it more frequently than normal. I've made the decision that I'm in no mental or spiri...
