Did you know that some believe that the Yule Goat is connected to Thor's goats, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr? Thor sacrifices his goats to feed his family. In the morning, He resurrects them with His mighty hammer. In our family, on Yule Eve, after our Mother Reindeer Ritual and the Yule Pumpkin hunt, we leave out offerings of sun cookies for Reindeer Mother and Elen of the Ways, mead or whiskey for Odin and Sleipnir, and oatmeal and carrots for the Yule Goat and Tomte. In the morning, the kids find their stockings filled with treats, something to wear, and a gift wrapped in plain brown paper and twine. Some people also burn their straw or wooden goats, then make a new one each year, a similar tradition to burning a Yule Log/candles or a stick bundle, stuffed with bay leaves and slips of paper with hopes and wishes. After seeing Byron Ballard's warning for the next 48 hours  last night, I grounded myself between earth and universe, Gods and humans--the liminal. I plunged my energy roots deep and wide, so that no storm could knock me down. I connected with my new home and the land and the stars (I can see the stars now!). I went outside and looked up into the bright round moon, perfectly framed by three tree branches. Sister Moon, how long has it been since I've simply gone outside and gazed? Opened myself to your energies? Too long. I charged my shields, my husband's and children's shields, our home, vehicle, and property shields. I turned my attention next to the land and nature spirits. I had already given introductory offerings on Midfall, but tonight was different. It was dark, bitterly cold, and quiet.  I was alone. As it turns out, when you get a new home, you don't have enough money for other things, like Etsy fees.  My shop is temporarily suspended, but will be back up on Thursday or Friday.  This gives me time to plan for my winter products and the fall item sale.   Also being moved in means that I can work on those new products that I've been wanting to craft: the Greek Alphabet Oracle and Younger Futhark Runes!   I'm looking forward to doing general community messages and card/rune pulls again, too.   I maybe broke for the moment, but lots is to come for Hearth Fox Oracle.   Stay tuned, yall!  Thank you for your support! - Rev.   I love Halloween, it's the best time to find props and masks for rituals and magik.  Take em home, cleanse, bless, enchant, and dedicate. I am a fan of antlers and horns, and I've always wanted a ritual headdress with them (every since I saw a togruta [Star Wars], I've always wanted their montrals and headtails as spiritual garb).  Spirit Halloween had a great horn selection, but also a bit pricey or they just looked better with hair or wigs.  I don't have any nice fun wigs yet.  I was hoping to find a better deer antler mask or headband--better yet reindeer antlers (there were a couple, but they didn't look very nice).  For the last few years, since learning about the Reindeer Mother, every Yule I do a ritual honoring Her and Elen of the Ways.  I've been wanting to wear reindeer cow antlers for my fall and winter rituals.   I've found beautiful reindeer cow antlered headdresses on Etsy, Amazon, and other places, made by hand by other spiri...

Hearth Fox Oracle does not answer questions about health, pregnancy, legal, or finances... But I do offer relationship readings now, available with any   Oracle and Psychic Service in The Hearth Fox Shop . I didn't used to offer them, because I wasn't comfortable.  But thanks to my Ministry Service , I've had lots of practice doing relationship readings for people, and now I'm very comfortable.   I've also made changes to the website, especially the The Hearth Fox Shop , hopefully it's easier to get around and understand now. This past Saturday, I hosted a public Fall Equinox Ritual & Potluck at a local favorite park.  Family-friendly and free, just like Honeysweet .  It was a lot of fun.  A lot of people showed up in the beginning, but weren't able to stay for the ritual, but I'm really glad that they came.  We hung out and ate some really good GF Cheeseburger Soup.  I also got a much appreciated lesson on how to use a park grill and grill corn on the cob.  They're also a tea maker, so yall know I had to support my fellow local business owner.  Check out Opal Dragon on Facebook !
