Plug Into the Moon

After seeing Byron Ballard's warning for the next 48 hours last night, I grounded myself between earth and universe, Gods and humans--the liminal. I plunged my energy roots deep and wide, so that no storm could knock me down. I connected with my new home and the land and the stars (I can see the stars now!).

I went outside and looked up into the bright round moon, perfectly framed by three tree branches. Sister Moon, how long has it been since I've simply gone outside and gazed? Opened myself to your energies?

Too long.

I charged my shields, my husband's and children's shields, our home, vehicle, and property shields.
I turned my attention next to the land and nature spirits. I had already given introductory offerings on Midfall, but tonight was different. It was dark, bitterly cold, and quiet.  I was alone.

After standing there for a few minutes, I went back inside to get to my Priestly duties: asking what the Spirit Fam wants for offerings, of course. The Healers wanted water with lavender and a bath salt mixture from Jen & Tonic. The Ancestors wanted some white wine and water. The rest wanted spiced wine and water with more of the bath salt mixture.

Next I went outside with a bottle of the spiced wine and small jar of bath salts. I poured the wine out for Sister Moon and sprinkled the herbal mixture around my back porch for the Nature Spirits. I stood there in socks, in the damp crunchy leaves. I felt the curious, weary, and excited Land Spirits approach just enough into the moonlight. I couldn't see them, but I could feel and hear them. Some who knew me, others who did not.

Then I heard a roar from a Satyr in the skeletal trees! A roar that I know very well.  I smiled. It's been far too long.

As I turned to go back inside, an entity called out, "WITCH!"

The Nature Spirits of Delaware State Park usually address me the same way. This was comforting.  I felt accepted.  I thanked the entity and the others. Once inside, I asked if each group was happy with their offerings and my service. Yes, swung the amethyst pendulum.

The last few months have been very stressful for my family.  We're finally settled into a new home.  Last night was very much needed.  It felt great to tend to my shrines and altars, too.

Take a few minutes if you're able to over the next couple of nights to sit or stand with the moon and get to know the local spirits. Recharge, heal, and remember who you are. Your passions. Reconnect with what gives you life and joy.

Thank you for your support!

Nearly finished because I've yet to find my Hestia figure!
