A Murder of Tricksters

In the spirit of March 17th, our High Day ritual focused on the energies of growing good luck and honoring Luck Entities. As it was a round robin (and the script has 3 different speaking options for each part), Willow had the idea to use dice, and the three of us grabbed our D&D dice sets.  Willow used the D4 to see which option of the script she'd speak. "Let's roll for inspiration!" One of my D4s I gotta say that I love that the three of us Druids in attendance were all D&D nerds! Before ritual we were talking about different luck deities, and Loki showed up. Said that chaos was very much a part of luck, especially bad luck. Chaos deities like Him can aid us in dealing with bad luck--getting through it--helping to be prepared, helping to turn bad luck into good lessons and into future good luck through practical means, not always through miracles and magik--relying on other outside forces. Relying on yourself instead.  That those experiences and lessons...

Changing Petals

TW: Sexual Abuse, Child Abuse. A visual transition from Shadow Work to Light Work. --------- I finished my Hearth Throw that was originally going to be my Winter Solstice Healing Blanket...until I got sick and thought it was a good idea to crochet... ...thus royally messing it up.  But its still a blanket.  I'm going to redo the Winter Solstice Healing Blanket later. Since I finished one of the three High Day throw/blankets I was working on, I started on the Midspring Bouquet Throw/Blanket.  50-70 inches is a throw.  Anything bigger is a blanket, according to the interwebs.  Guess we'll see when I feel done, at the same time, I don't want to have a giant bouquet, you know? 21.5 inches so far... So far, it's very pretty.  I'm finding myself drawn to pinks, purples, and whites this March.  I'll end up putting yellow, blue, and lavender flowers on the edge, tying it with the Spring Equinox Healing Throw.  I'm still deciding if I want to add a springy...

Happy International Women's Day to ALL Women!

Today's reading I'll be using the Womanrunes by Brigid's Grove and ROAR oracle by MJ Cullinane.  I'm also feeling Lilith and Hekate present. Lilith and Hekate, what message do you have on this IWD? Lilith through the ROAR Oracle: " Ground and be still.  Learn to listen better instead of only reacting.  Ground and gather facts, not opinions.  Not imagery.  Fact.  Cold, hard, un-coddling facts.  Blunt, Direct.  Be smart, not a raging fool. " I've drawn: Joan Beauchamp Proctor "Follow your instincts and you will find the right path." I feel like this is more of that 'listen less to others--peer pressure to think, act, and do'.  Trust yourself and get the facts before acting.   " Don't jump because those around you are.  Who are these others?  Do you align with them?  Friends?  Strangers?  Do they pay your home bills?  Are you giving them free rent in your head?  Why are you going along with the mob?...

Another Sea God

In the Skaði post, I talked about a dream that I had years ago with two Polar Bears. Years later, Skaði revealed that the bears were Her and her ex, Njörðr. I learned that He's the Norse Vanir God of the Sea, father of Freyr and Freyja. Other than the dream, I didn't meet Njörðr again until 2020-21, when I was a member of the Wyrd Sanctuary. I think it was after one of our rituals. I tranced to a twilight desert that was empty, yet had weird shadows that stretched across the barren landscape. The time passed from twilight and slowly dimmed. I found myself standing next to a massive vegvisir, half submerged in the ground, yet ticking like a clock. Although not an ancient symbol--definitely not viking--vegvisir is like a compass that represents wayfinding and protection. Although I've read that it's also not a compass, which is fine, but that's what it is to me. I didn't even know what the symbol was when I first saw it. Giant and strange, the whole scene was. In...
