I attended a Welsh Ritual on June 25th. This time, I was just an attendee. One of the other Druids was the Seer for this ritual. At the start of the ritual, I was feeling jittery and overstimulated. I stimmed, but the feeling wasn’t going away. Then I thought because some of the ritual was in Welsh, maybe I was picking up someone’s nervousness of attempting to speak the language. I shielded up and turned my camera off. The ritual started and the Seer started channeling Morfran and telling His story. I realized that what I was feeling was spiritual. I tried grabbing my pendulum and realized that I didn’t really have control over my hands. Someone was trying to come through, trying to possess me without my consent. I am a Deity oathed Priestess. I have and will continue to take courses and classes to be the best Priestess that I can be. I’ve found pagan programs to further my training to serve the spiritual community, one that I’m currently working towards and another that I am saving for. I’ve done different things on my path, from helping people out of domestic situations to clearing and blessings homes to weddings. Yall I don’t like doing weddings. Sometimes the Gods don’t show up, which I’ve learned means that the marriage isn’t going to work out…but do you tell the couple to not sign the marriage license? Or do you fake it? I saw this big interesting and calm fly on my deck, and took its picture. Doing a reverse image search, I learned that it’s called a Tiger Bee Fly. It’s a pollinator, whose larvae feed on Carpenter Bee larvae. I love Carpenter Bees, but nature needs balance. Other critters deserve to eat and survive, too. Cool bug. I love living out in the country, I’ve photographed and learned about so many animals I’ve never seen before. That’s what I do when I see interesting and beautiful critters—I photograph, observe, research, and record. Our photo albums probably have more pictures of these creatures and their scientific information than people. Maybe my descendants will find them beautiful, too? I’m a photographer (used to be professional), so our albums are brimming with lots of different photos. Plenty of people in them, too. I had an interesting dream.  In it, my husband and I were changing around our home to move in our polyam partners (which we don't actually have yet--hubs and I are polyam, but due to the political chaos in our country, we're not looking for other relationships right now).   The dream was never sexual, just a lot of moving and expanding of our home, but I could feel all of the physical touches--like hugging or just brushing up against someone while moving furniture and boxes.  As if my husband was hugging me--but at the time of this dream, he'd already left for work.   Then at the end, it got a little apocalyptic with more survivors joining and building tents and shelters connected to our home.  It rained and none of us had rain flys--no one freaked out, we all had other chores to make this situation more of a safe home for everyone.  We'd deal with the rain later.  On June 20th, I came across a post by Morgan Daimler called 7 Tips to Spotting Misleading Fairy Claims . Good post, Morgan knows her stuff. I just got to thinking about Nature Spirits. Which is a general term that I use for the various types. Some are called fae, others called landwights or landvaettir, Jotun, nymphs, satyrs, dryads, and a whole host of other cultural names. Being eclectic, I have entities from all over the place—different parts of the world, different cultures, etc. It’s just easier to be general with Nature Spirits. Even They’ve said that the name doesn’t always matter. They are what They are. Like Morgan says, they’re not all all cutesy, nice, or just waiting around for a human to come by for blessings or even malice.   June 20: I meant to write this post for June 17th—the Prometheia—but I forgot. Which is hilarious if you know anything about the old Greek Titan. The Cunning Prometheus, the Titan of Forethought and Counsel. Son of Iapetus and Clymeme; brother of Atlas, Menotius, and Epimetheus; father of Deucalion ( who has on of three mothers: Clymene, Hesione, or Pronoia ) ( Wikipedia ). In some stories, it was He who created humans from clay. It was also HE who defied Zeus and gave us puny mortals fire and thus civilization. Given that His domain is Forethought, He knew what He was doing in more ways than one. It was worth it—I hope He still feels that way anyway. If you don’t know, Zeus punished Him by chaining Prometheus to a rock and having a eagle eat his regrown liver everyday. In some other stories, Heracules frees Him from this harsh punishment.
