So That's What Those Are

I saw this big interesting and calm fly on my deck, and took its picture. Doing a reverse image search, I learned that it’s called a Tiger Bee Fly. It’s a pollinator, whose larvae feed on Carpenter Bee larvae.

I love Carpenter Bees, but nature needs balance. Other critters deserve to eat and survive, too.

Cool bug. I love living out in the country, I’ve photographed and learned about so many animals I’ve never seen before. That’s what I do when I see interesting and beautiful critters—I photograph, observe, research, and record. Our photo albums probably have more pictures of these creatures and their scientific information than people. Maybe my descendants will find them beautiful, too? I’m a photographer (used to be professional), so our albums are brimming with lots of different photos. Plenty of people in them, too. As well as other things that catch my eye.
