Around noon, a thunderstorm rolled in. Hard and heavy. I gave an apple to Thor for protection and galdred runes over our leaky-too-small-for-frame-screen-door that maintenance installed not too long ago. In return, Thor instructed me to collect some storm water. My eldest quickly put a bowl outside for a few minutes, and then collected it.
I brought the bowl into the kitchen and asked for Thor's blessings over the storm water. He did.
I dipped a Mjolnir pendant into it 9 times, and set it on my ADF altar to dry.
I traced a Mjolnir with this blessed Storm Water on myself, my cat, and my kids.
I poured most of it into a bottle, with a label, and Thor showed me one of my plants to pour the remainder.
Now I have some Thor Blessed Storm Water to be used....soon, I imagine. It won't keep forever. Storm Water is very potent, and good for protection and cursing. It can be mixed with other waters for a boost.
Guess we'll see what the Kindred have in store with this water. The date isn't lost on me, either. I'm not really into numerology, but can't really ignore it today. In some numerology, 6/6 is a portal or some kind. Some sites say for love, family, and harmony. I certainly used Thor's Blessed Water to anoint my family (hubby get his later).
The Vestalia also begins tomorrow--a Roman festival honoring Vesta and the Vestals that ends on the 15th. On the 9th--the Feast Day--I'll be performing a ritual for Virtual Fire Proto-Grove, ADF. I'll probably be using a Roman Hearth Culture ritual that I've been using since I wrote it in 2024...maybe. Since the Vestalia isn't a High Day in ADF Druidry, it doesn't have to follow the Core Order of Ritual. Perhaps I'll simplify it, or use one of my older non-ADF rituals?
Normally, during the Vestalia, it's the Vestals that I divine with, such as Vestal Rhea Silvia (the mother of Romulus and Remus). Despite the Roman myth of Vesta's displeasure of Rhea's kids (which in one version, she was raped by Mars and--like a version of Medusa and Athena--punished by Vesta), I don't see a pissed off Goddess and Priestess. I see the opposite. I see love and loyalty, not disgust, shame, and sorrow. No silencing the victims. During the Vestalia it is Vestal Rhea who speaks on Vesta's behalf to me.
I don't know what the working should be...perhaps purification? That's basically what the Vestalia is--purification of the temple. I could do a guided meditation and bring attendees to the temple to meet the Living Flame. Have them give Her offerings and ask that She cleanse and protect them in Holy Fire.
I dunno, I gotta trance and visit Vesta's Temple and seek some guidance. Plus I don't know how intense the omen may be. Lately messages have been accompanied by drawings. They take control over my arm and draw, and then speak through me. I'll see what Vesta wants to do this year.
