Happy Halloween / Samhain / Beltane!

Another time I dealt with troublesome entities--it wasn't just the entity, in fact, the entity was more of a weapon. I was contacted by an pagan family having problems with an entity that they couldn't remove. This energy was affecting the son more than the rest of the family--the son was more sensitive to spirits than the rest. He was having bad thoughts. The family also informed me that the grown son was also seeing a mental health professional and they were aware of his negative thoughts, but not the possible spiritual side of it, too.
I and my student went to the home. At first, I headed for a downstairs unit, because I felt strange energy from it. But I was redirected to a unit upstairs.
Again, I introduced myself and student to the House Spirits, explaining who we were and why we were there. I asked for permission to do what I needed to do. Once given, I set up a little altar, inviting my kindreds, and gave offerings.
I smoke cleansed the apartment first--feeling very little resistance. It was strange--this entity wasn't as aggressive as the last. I barely felt anything negative. I cleansed with the smoke first and and energy second. There was barely anything, even with the son's room. Then I sat down with the family, explained what I and student (who's also a psychic) had felt, and performed divination, contacting the spirits in the home. They told me that it was the neighbor below them. He was semi-stalking the wife of the family I was helping. He was also a practitioner and was sending an entity into their home to spy and terrorize.
What I felt made sense.
I anchored myself between earth and sky and entered the liminal. I let myself fall through the floor, expecting some resistance of wards from the below unit, but felt nothing. I saw that the elderly man lived alone and had an altar with various workings that I couldn't identify. I saw glimpses of memories of what the spirits in the above family's unit were talking about.
I returned to the upstairs unit and I energy cleansed myself and the unit again. Then I did what I usually do with energy work--I erected a shield around the home/unit, adding in specific protections for what was happening. This shield would prevent the man below from using magik and spirit work against this family.
Not only that, but I added in another layer of protection (after I determined with divination that the family was innocent)--anything the old man sent would be returned to him 10 fold. He was being a creepy asshole and needed to be taught a lesson, as far as I was concerned.
I blessed the home and gave the family their own bottle of Holy Water blessed by Hestia-Vesta.
Again, after going over a protection--mundane and spiritual--lesson/reminder with the family, we left. Their home was cleansed and blessed.
A couple of months later, the family contacted me again, saying that the neighbor was evicted. They haven't had any other problems since we were there. Their son was also doing better.
