"Last night, I tried sending energies to the LA protestors (which is how I help when I’m not able to be there—I’m a völva and so I cast), but the Gods stopped me, saying it’s being handled and that I need to focus on my family and local area.
Today I woke up from a dream where I was getting my entire body painted and I had to hold really really still. I tried, but my body was cramping and exhausted. I was trying so hard, and the artists were understandably frustrated.
After a break, I was able to relax and focus—meditate.
Finally I was able to sit up so they could work on my face and my front.
Next break, I was able to take a peek and see that they were turning me into a beautiful black Medusa and peacock phoenix hybrid, covered in storyboard “tattoos” that I couldn’t see. Excited for the final, I closed my eyes, and patiently waited for the artists to finish.
I woke up before, but I feel that last night and the dream have something to do with each other. Be patient. Be still. Listen.

When I'm not able to attend a protest--I've got kids and I'm disabled--I cast spells to support and protect protestors, to encourage and motivate them to keep fighting.
During BLM, I'd be outside almost every morning, playing a heartbeat on a frame drum that I had charged with specific energies for protestors. I'd play that heartbeat for 10-20 minutes.
Other times, I'll work some candle and sigil magiks for them, no matter where they are in the world.
I'm a Priestess, a völva, and a seiðkona. I'm a Healer and a Warrior. So I cast to protest, to protect, to support, to revitalize.
