Judgy Writers

You know what I’m not enjoying about Substack—the ablism and classism. Knowing the difference in spelling between there, they’re, and their isn’t a sign of intelligence or kindness or anything. I have dyslexia. I know grammar rules and spelling, yet I have to rely on programs to not get torn apart by grammar assholes on the internet who would think me dumb and unworthy of writing, period.

Guess what? The AI and programs ain’t perfect either. They still miss mistakes and get things wrong, sometimes they don’t even provide correct spellings at all. Sometimes the suggestions from the programs make no damn sense. Also not all word to text programs are that great either. We can’t all afford the “perfect” ones to please yall’s sophisticated palates. Sometimes I don’t want to use the programs, because I don’t want to sound like a robot or like everyone else. I want to read/sound like me—I tend to write how I speak.

There are many reasons why someone might not have the best grammar, like maybe English isn’t their first language? Ever think about that? Maybe it’s a medical condition or a disability. Or maybe they just don’t have the education! Or maybe they’re emotional or in a rush? Maybe they don’t care! Who the hell knows? Who the hell are you to judge and put them down???

Yall don’t make any mistakes, right? Yall perfect?

Mm, clearly.

If someone’s grammar bothers you, keep scrolling. Ain’t no reason for you to belittle or “correct” them. You hired to be their editor? No? Then mind your business. Correct in your head and move on.

Take some breaths. Go touch some grass. It’s not the end of the world. Learn some humility. Maybe explore why you feel the need to show off your “intelligence”? Work on those issues instead of projecting onto others.

To those who may struggle or have your own styles, keep writing. Keep doing what you may love to do. Those negative reactions ain’t a reflection of you. Unhappy trolls gonna troll. Ignore em. Starve em. Block em.

Keep writing.

I offer psychic readings if interested. I’m a Psychic Medium who can channel Deities, Spirits, and the Dead—human and animal. These entities may use pendulums, cards, runes, automatic writing/typing/drawing, possession, or energies to answer your questions. I accept venmo and trade. Click the link above for more information.

Readings will be offered on my Etsy soon.

Until then, you can email me at foxtorchphoto18@gmail.com

On April 26th, If you’re in the area of Dayton, Ohio, I’ll be at Kettering Polen Farm for Dayton Pagan Coalition’s Psychic Faire. If you’re also a local vendor, psychic, or healer, there may still be spots available.
