A Mercury Retrograde Community Message

 Belated, Gentle, and Safe Holidays, yall!

First I'd like to thank everyone who purchased my oracle services this month.  Yall helped my family in a huge way.  I hope you all received the answers you needed, and I hope yall come back in the future.  

As I was scrolling on Instagram, I came upon a post from the Inked Goddess about Mercury Retrograde.  They gave some tips and and asked some great questions to help those who're affected by this astrological time, using the Four R's: Rest, Review, Rejuvenate, and Renew.  Check their post for more info.

For this post, I thought it was a good idea to do a Community Message using the Four R's and the questions asked.

The deck I'll be using is the Seasons of the Witch Yule Oracle by Lorraine Anderson & Juliet Diaz.  As this is a general message for the community, some of you may connect, some may not.  

1) How can you take this time to focus on yourself and rest?

• Gatherings - Sometimes what we need is Community Care.  Find your community and ask for support, make some time to hang out, be it in person, over the phone, or virutally.  Come together.
• Yule Log - Represents the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.  Maybe with you community, you can burn a Yule Log or a fire.  Each of you writing what you need to release, in order to heal and growth in the coming years?  Toss the paper, effigy, item, etc, into the fire and exhale.  

2) What in your life do you need to review and possibly remove?  What needs to be burned in that Yule Log fire?

• Dove Medicine - You need to review and/or release this idea, this limiting belief that you are weak.  That your wings are crippled, that there's no hope for you.  Release that old past, that old way of thinking.  See that your wings are not flightless.  Learn to trust yourself--perhaps there's not an "again", perhaps this is the first time you're free from toxic environments and people.  Is this your first time out of the cage?  It will take time, effort, and perhaps many trials and errors and different communities, but it is possible to release your past, your doubts, your fears, and take flight.

3) What are your realistic goal for the coming year?  A question that may not be answered through a community card pull.  But these are good to think on, write down, and revisit during this retrograde.  How can you focus on your realistic goal(s) once the retrograde is over?

• Ringing the Bells - Cleanse your home, room, space, vehicle of stagnant and negative energies.  This card could also be telling you that a thought, person, environment needs to be cleansed or even banished from your life in order to truly move on and accomplish your goals.  Perhaps focus or actions cannot happen until a cleansing or banishment takes place?  

4) What needs to be renewed/rebirthed?

• Wise Men - Either you have someone to guide you or you are being guided to someone who can mentor you.  This person may or may not be a man.
• Bear Medicine - Make time for you.  Rest.  Self Care.  Community Care.
