Changes Are Coming to Hearth Fox Oracle

I had such an awesome time at the Beltaine Psychic Faire.  It was great!  I got way more sales than I ever have with Etsy!  It felt good that people wanted to buy my stuff (and my business cards!  I worked hard on those and paid good money for them, so yes, take my business cards, even if that's all you get from me today!).

I've spent hours upon hours on hand making my products.  I'm already searching for the next event.  Next one, my husband is going to handle the booth and I'm going to do psychic readings.

The Animal Pins were a big hit!  I didn't make those.
I got these pins from my grandma after she passed in 2014.

My booth neighbors were cool people, too. The lady behind me designed tumblers and the lady in front of me was a therapist and Reiki Master, who had a partner who performed card readings. It was cool watching her work, and she was fun to talk to, too.

There was another lady across from me, who had some cool items.  If I had the money, I would've bought a lovely bee necklace she had.

I forgot to get the cup lady's business card, but here's two from the Healer and other vendor:

I learned a lot--all good things.  My husband, who has 20+ years in retail and customer service, coached me with interacting with people (plus I had a lot of great tips from vending and customer service friends).  Normally, I'm a loud talker (probably because I have hearing issues), but with a mask on, I had to practically shout!  My throat has been pretty sore since Saturday.

Because Etsy is money hungry and is screwing the people who made them successful, I've decided that I'm going to set up a shop on this blogspot.  I'm working on my listings right now, and you'll be able to find that in the Hearth Fox Shop when I get it up and going.  I'm hoping for Friday.  When I get my website back up, I'm going to have a better shop set up on it.  Keep my Etsy one more for an ad basically.  With Etsy's BS fee hikes, I had learned that many people will find a shop, then google to find a website for the person, and buy through other places because of Etsy's greedy policies.  Other selling platforms have fees too, but Etsy has the highest.

Regarding my shop on Blogspot, decide what you want to purchase and email me with the Item Number and your payment preference: Paypal or Venmo.  I'll email you back with my info and get your address upon payment.

I'm also reworking my prices.  With Etsy, to see any kind of profit, I had to hike my prices up, which is unfair to the customer and me.  Since I'm only going to be dealing with Paypal/Venmo fees and sales tax, I can make my prices more affordable.

I'm also getting rid of my dice, the ones with multiple runes on a die.  I know some folks like those type of dice, but they haven't sold well on Etsy or the faire.  I'm going to cleanse and redo them.  I'm more of a fan of one symbol per die anyway!

I'm pretty excited.  This was an awesome and addictive experience.  I never thought that an introvert like me would do anything like this, yet here I am and I WANT MORE!  Oh, and I also got to meet a friend from the Wyrd Sanctuary, too!  I let her know about the event and she was a reader.

Again, hopefully May 5th, I'll have my new Hearth Fox Shop up and going on this platform.  Stay tuned!

Thank you for your support!
