Blessed Lupercalia and Happy Valentine's Day!

Today's a celebrated Day of Love, be it love with another or for yourself.  This Thursday's full moon zoom is going to be over self love and empowerment, where I'm going to teach attendees how to make a healing candle and then I'm going to guide everyone to meet a deity to bless the candle via meditation.  I'll leave yall by pulling affirmation cards.  Plus my High Phoenix is going to do divination, too.  I hope to see yall there!

For today, I'm going to be doing a Pick-a-Card from The Path of the Divine Feminine Empowering Goddess Oracle by Kat Shaw.

Spirits of Love and Healing, what are your messages for those who participate in this Pick-a-Card?

Clear your mind and pay attention to whatever letters, numbers, or positions come to mind.  Pick the card(s) that you're drawn to!

Don't forget in my Etsy Shop I have some lovely items, such as the Blush Pouch that's great for holding cards, runes, bones, stones, and other trinkets.

$18.00 USD + $4.00 S&H.  Acrylic and Wool Yarn. Multi-colored yarn of dark pink, light pink, and lavender. White cord. Pink Plastic Button. Approximately 5 x 5.5 inches.

Each pouch comes with a charm and a message from Spirit.

Have you picked your card(s)? Here's the reveal!

  1. Goddess of the Deep - Sensitivity - Are you paying attention to and being compassionate for yourself?  What are your needs?  This card asks that you take some time to look at yourself.  Stop helping everyone around you for a moment, and ask yourself what you need.  Perhaps take some time to meditate and go within, focus on waters--water symbolises our emotion and subconscious.  Go deep, beyond the surface, to find your needs.  Is it a fear that needs to be soothed?  A loss that needs to be grieved? Honor your emotions and know you are not alone.  Water can be revealing, but also immensely healing.  Let go, be cleansed.  After meditation, take a shower or bath with the intention of washing away all that keeps you from being a balance healthy person.  After breakthroughs, no matter how small, take a shower or bath to cleanse that which doesn't serve you anymore, and replace those old energies with love, healing, strength, and courage.  Allow these Water Entities help you in your healing journey.
  2. Mermaid Goddess - Emergence - As you wash away that which doesn't serve you and replace those choking, stagnant energies with positive ones, it's time to emerge from those deep dark depths.  Call back your energy and power.  Don't be afriad to sunbathe in those shallows, and take your time as you learn to be confident and brave enough to sunbathe on the rocks, not caring about who sees you or what they have to say.  It ain't about them, this is about you!  Take Mermaid's hand and allow her to gently guide you to the surface and beyond.
  3. Awakening - Soul Truth - Lost and frustrated.  You've been feeling that there's something more to this life.  It's time to stop fussing, fearing, and searching and look within.  Listen to what Spirit is trying to tell you.  This is a time of awakening.  It may not be some grand soul shattering epiphany that you see in movies, but slower and gentler.   Take time to meditate in whatever way works best for you.  Reflect.  Listen to your intuition and follow this voice--your inner voice, your higher voice--to a new, healed and empowered you.  It won't be an insta-overnight thing, but a journey that takes patience and courage.  This card is a signal that you are strong enough to begin.
  4. Blodeuwedd - Truth - This card is about courage and hope.  Healing, self love, and empowerment require strength, courage, and hope.  Drive to keep going.  Healing isn't linear and it is difficult, and self love is even harder for some.  Living in this world with corporations that thrive to make you hate how your look and feel so you'll buy their products and make them richer.  Saying that cosmetics and anti-aging serums are the only true path to love.  Shaming fat people and thin people alike.  Society telling you that no matter what you do, you'll never be enough, so buy buy buy.  It's fine to use cosmetics, just don't let them become a crutch, don't listen to their lies.  Those companies don't have your best interests at heart, only theirs. This card asks that you strip away the cosmetics and the unhealthy trendy diets and just look at yourself in the mirror.  Write yourself a letter...perhaps write a letter to Little You.  What would you say to yourself?  What does that child need to hear?  If you have/had children/niece/nephews/grandkids/godkids (and heck even your pets!), what would say to them?  Read that letter aloud, while looking at yourself in the mirror.  Show yourself compassion, you deserve it.  You are enough.  You are worthy.  Find affirmations that you like and repeat them to yourself everyday.  Perhaps wear less cosmetics as days, weeks, or months go by.  Find a therapist or a counselor who can guide you.  No matter what method you try on this journey of self love and empowerment, keep going.  No matter how many times you stumble and fall, take a moment to reflect and rest, and get back up.  Find what works for you.  A therapist and counselor may be able to help you to the root of your self loathing, and guide you to healing.  They can only do so much, you have to do the rest.  When times get rough, think of Little You.  Think of your goals, and keep going.  You are not alone on this journey.  Surrounding you always are your guides and ancestors.
Did the cards resonate?  Were they helpful?  If they don't make sense now, they may later.

I also want to say that I'm not of the school of thought that one has to love themselves before they can love others.  Others can help you love yourself.  When I met my husband of 14 years, I loathed myself, from my personality to my appearance.  I felt unworthy of him, but he didn't feel that way.  If anything, he felt unworthy of having me in his life.  I was confused.  I wanted to see me from his point of view because I didn't get it.  He stuck by me through my ugliest times.  When he said he loved me, he meant it.

That strove me to be better.  I didn't want to lose him.  I also didn't want to be my parents, either.  I started the long difficult journey of self love and empowerment.  I worked hard on changing myself for me.  I wasn't happy with who I was and I was fearful of who I might become.  I didn't want to hate myself anymore.

Over time, I changed, especially in 2020.  I made leaps and bounds in 2020 to now in regards to loving my beautiful fat self.  I'm healthier and happier.  More compassion towards myself and towards other people.  I had a lot of help over the years, too, from loved ones and chosen family, from my deities, guides, and ancestors, and from me--my Shadow and Light Sisters.

One artist in particular also had an impact on me loving my body.  She was the one who created the deck above, Kat Shaw.  Her and others like her depict various entities as fat with many "imperfections"--in beautiful ways.  Helping to empowering those in need.  Representation matters, especially in a world that shames people who don't live up to the social standards of beauty, showing very ugly parts of their personalities and actions.  Their work was important for me, which is one of the reason why I typically select Kat's decks for this time of the year.

I started my relationship with others hating myself, and over time, through their love and support, I learned to love myself.  It's February 14th, 2022, and I fucking love myself, yall.  I am a strong, worthy, and empowered woman.  I still have a lot of healing to do, but I'm proud of everything I've accomplished thus far, especially my stumbles.  I am determined.

The other day I woke myself up with a reminder from Spirit: "I grew up in an abusive home and I've healed myself from that abuse, making me the greatest threat to your fragile pathetic masculine toxicity."

This definitely goes for my own toxicity.  It takes a lot to stand up for yourself to others, and it's take a lot more to stand up to yourself for yourself.

There's hope, but you have to want it and you have to put in the work, but you don't have to go at it alone.

You are worthy.
You are enough.
Be strong.

Thank you for your support!
